It’s not the greatest attraction in the GTA by any means, but the price is right (it’s free), and it’s easily accessible and worth a quick stop.
The visitors center is staffed, and they seem generally surprised to have guests, making them eager to answer any questions and provide lots of useful info about nuclear power (hey: anything beats burning coal in the SE US, and extracting oil from the tar sands in western Canada).
You won’t find Mr. Burns or Smithers here, but there is a small aquarium showing off the varieties of fish contained in the Great Lake beyond (the lake itself is never clear enough for fish-​spotting).
