Bruno’s Meat & Deli

Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this place but what’s more surprising is the lack of review on this fantastic joint!
This place does excellent business at the corner of Rougemount and Kingston in a sleepy neighborhood plaza in Pickering. If you come during the holidays, you’ll see a steady stream of patrons each leaving the store lovingly embracing their free range turkeys.
When I moved into the area some 6 yrs ago, finding a good butcher was on top of my list along with a fish monger and a good bakery. Bruno’s was just what I was looking for in a butcher albeit being a little smaller than my old butcher in Woodbridge.
Bruno’s has since undergone a much welcomed face lift and has changed its name to «Bruno’s Signature.» They still carry the same great products (excellent meat counter, marinaded meats & fish, cured meats, good selection of cheeses, frozen pies. etc to name a few) but in an updated retail store.
I’m a big fan of their fresh turkeys for the holidays and their maple glazed ham made in-​store is absolutely the best I’ve had. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on their limited supply of pumpkin pie during the holidays, you’re in for a real treat. As a real pumpkin pie lover, I don’t think I’ve had a better pie than what they sell here.
If you live nearby, Bruno’s is definitely worth a try.

Always great food. from the frozen entrees to the cold meats and cheeses to the fresh cut meats. Definitely a favourite. Butchers are great !!!
It truly is one of a kind in Pickering.

When I walked inside Bruno’s Meat and Deli, all I think about is BBQ season is here!
You can get your meat cut to your liking directly from the butcher or you can get their pre marinated chicken/​tenderloin and just throw that on your grill… sizzling hot and delicious!
There are also their own house blend of cured meat, pâté and prepared food (all you do is to heat that up).
It was so much fun browsing around.

Great butcher shop. High quality and great selection. I wish they had more wild game. Also, I find their bison a little pricey. However, they have fantastic free range chicken and turkey. Their beef and pork cuts look excellent, even if I don’t buy them very often. They also sell organic meat. If you pre-​order you can get a really good turkey from them for the holidays.
One of the things that make a butcher shop is the butchers themselves, and the butchers behind the counter here are very polite and seem quite knowledgeable and experienced. The ladies behind the till are also quite easy to deal with. I always leave here feeling like it was worth the stop.
