I was looking for somewhere to get a substantial breakfast and a friend recommended Ricky’s — what a find! I’ve been here twice now for the same thing — the steak and eggs. A nice 8 oz properly cooked steak with a mess of shredded hash browns makes for a delicious and decent start to the day. Friendly service, prompt food arrival, even a free morning paper. I’m already looking for another excuse to eat here …

We used to go to this restaurant a lot and then the service and food changed. The food was inedible and the prices are high for what you get. Even worse was when the waitress saw I had not eaten a bite of my food she didn’t even ask if I enjoyed it or if something was wrong. My family will not be returning to this place again.

This used to be our favourite place to eat but last time was disappointed(2 years ago) so decided to give it another try. Quite disappointed, the steak sandwich was a small steak ordered medium rare it came medium well. Got fries and that was the entire meal Wife had breakfast special and left a lot on her plate(she always eats everything) service was slow and not looked after all in all this should be our last time

Very disappointed. Used to love going to Ricky’s toget their awesome bruschetta and sweet potato fries. Went in tonight for the first time in a year and was greeted with cheap menus and a totally different menu that felt more like a diner than a grill.

Wonderful breakfast. Second time and not disappointed. Good device and good value. Local run and operated. Would return for sure.

On my way to Ottawa, we stopped in for coffee and a quick breakfast only to discover that they had some fancy breakfast specials with pancakes, home fries etc. My friend had egg benedict on salmon that wasn’t bad. I had poached eggs with some fruit salad.

If we’re looking for a family friendly dinner out with a menu that offers something for everyone, we often pick Ricky’s. The broad menu is along the lines of a lot of chain restaurants but we always find the food to be consistently good and reasonably priced by comparison to places like Kelsey’s and Montana’s. We’d recommend their sandwiches, burgers, mini pizzas and pasta. The salads can be a little hit and miss. They also offer all-day breakfast choices which are tasty. We’ve never been there for brunch but they have a large breakfast menu. The restaurant is large, colourful, and comfortable. They have a separate room for large functions or overflow seating on busy evenings. We’ve found service to be fast and friendly, even when it’s busy. It’s definitely a good place for all ages.
