Great ambiance. Staff very friendly. Good selection of beers on tap and in bottle. Wings are good.

Stopped by here to kill some time before a dinner meeting! It was a gorgeous day, and wanted to make use of their patio! It is next door to Franz’ butcher. We just had beers, so can’t really comment on the food. But the beer flowed cold and was tasty in the hot sun! The patio is beside Lansdowne Avenue, so can be a bit noisy, but can’t be beat on a warm day. Will stop by here again if I need to kill time when visiting Peterborough!

The Porch & Pint is a warm and friendly neighbourhood pub where the staff will likely know your name as well as your beverage of choice. There is a good selection of beers on tap including Kilkenny, Smithwicks & the ever present Stella Artois besides a well tended full bar to choose from. The pub fare is tasty and a good value. The indoor seating is cozy and comfortable and the outdoor patio is large. The owner and staff are always tremendously friendly and the patrons are a neighbourly bunch. It’s a welcoming place to stop for lunch or after work. Try their wings with their house made hot sauce! Ample free on-site parking in adjoining lot of Franz the Butcher.

When we walked in to this place it kind of felt like you were inside someone’s house for some reason. I think it was the décor and seating. We sat out front on the«porch» first, but unfortunately our meal was taking a little long and we had to move inside as it was getting a little cold. The«porch» is alright. It’s relaxed though, there are tables to sit and eat and then a couple of stand up tables where you can stand and have your drink. The restaurant is a little close to Lansdowne St. though which isn’t the nicest view that’s for sure, and you hear a bit of traffic. We ordered chicken fingers and fries. Very tasty. Our food took longer than usual because I guess the waitress made a mistake with our order. She admitted this to us and apologized though. It was a relaxed atmosphere, kind of made me feel like I was back in my home town. Felt maybe a little crowded though eating inside. Other than that, it was pretty comfortable there.
