Friperie Morgane

Plutôt très déçu de ma visite à la friperie Morgane. La dame qui sans doute est la propriétaire était très bête. J’ai appeler pour savoir à quel heure elle fermait elle me dit 16h45 alors je suis arrivé à 16h15 mais je voyais que je dérangeais et quel avait envie de fermer. Peut être car je suis jeune et qu’elle pensait que j’allais pas acheter mais cela n’est pas une raison d’être si peu accueillante. Pour ce qui est des vêtements je les trouves plutôt tous usés et trop cher. Première et dernière visite pour moi.

Tiny basement with 2 rooms crammed with very good condition designer clothing. Barney’s New York, TeenFlo, Max Mara, just to name a few, plus shoes and accessories. The prices are not very cheap, especially for the European labels, but as stated, the clothes are in very good condition;afterall, they are located in snotty Outremont.;) The good thing is they have a variety of sizes, so wheter you’re supermodel thin or just plain normal, you’re bound to find something that caught your eye and will fit.

I crazy love this place, it’s possibly my favourite frip in town. It’s the real deal– two rooms stuffed with gorgeous second-​hand designer clothes, i.e. NOT overpriced hipster «vintage» (yes, I’m talking about you Citizen Vintage).
The styles can be a little bit «madame», being in the heart of Outremont, but that makes a nice change from the grungy Mile End friperie scene. Last year I scored a teal green Max Mara coat on sale for $ 50, crazy! She only accepts items in excellent condition, so you don’t get that old-​clothes smell (yup, talking about you, Little Room).
Her prices are very good for for designer (mentioned that coat, right?). Today’s haul included an orchid purple Stella McCartney hoodie for $ 40, a sweet batwing Joeffer Caoc top for $ 45 and some brand-​new Nine West stadium pumps for $ 50. (Tried on some Hudson jeans and an Isabel Marant top, but luckily for my wallet they didn’t fit)
For my money, the best selection and prices on consignment designer in town.
