As I have probably stated elsewhere, i don’t eat a lot of chicken. But Yre’s is a light year above anywhere else in Ottawa in terms of taste. He cooks an amazing west African recipes of spices over a special variety wood chip fire. The result is an incredible mixture of taste sensations. It’s almost like he has a recipe or cooking style that has been lost to humanity. It takes him a little while to make your order, but it is definitely, and I mean definitely, worth it. It’s a small informal setting usually with some African regulars watching soccer on his TV etc. Not a sit down place but it’s the best chicken in Ottawa hands down.
