Had our weekend knit-up at the Timothy’s in Stittsville. The place is cozy and makes it a warm environment for anyone visiting. The ONLY drawback is the space for the lineup vs the space to go to the washroom. I had to maneuver around people who were lined up for coffee and it was really tight. The coffee is good, the treats are a bit too cold in the cooler display which made the brownie hard instead of chewie and yummy. When we asked for water, they gave us warm tap water. We had to go back to ask for cold water. I guess you need to specify or to have ice in your water. There are lots of little clusters of seating groups which makes it nice for a single person or a crowd to meet up in on the weekend. I will be back again.

I love me some Timothy’s! This was my first time at this location. I was in the mood for an Italian soda, and the barista recommended the new Strawberry Cucumber Lemonade flavour. Simply delicious and very refreshing on a hot day! The inside was nicely decorated, and seemed like a very chill place to drink a cup and work on your laptop.

I’m VERY glad I didn’t experience what Hak mentioned about the«bathroom smell», haha. What did I experience? A lovely little café that offers a Canadian alternative to Starbucks with better prices and more options. I’m rarely out this far west, but Stittsville’s been booming lately, and I seem to keep having reasons to venture out there. Today I had a meeting here at 10 a.m. and the place was bumping! Lots of Moms and tots, and older ladies and gents reading the paper. This is totally typical of Stittsville’s demographic, so I wasn’t too surprised by the demographic, but more the amount of people that seem to enjoy hanging at this cozy spot. There’s a really amazing compass tiled on the floor. I wanted it(if I had a house. It would look kind of out of place in my two bedroom apartment, no?). There’s two big bathrooms located in the back of the café with lots of change table space for the little ones that seem to accumulate here. The location of the bathrooms does make sense, but when there’s a lineup at the cash you have to kind of push your way through people to get to them. A little awkward. The staff were friendly and speedy, which was appreciated with a long line. I ordered a iced chai latte and it was absolutely superbe. A wonderfully refreshing wake up with just the right amount of spice. Delish! I also grabbed a cranberry scone which was super crumbly, and not excellent, but not awful either. Just kind of meh. they have a ton of selection in terms of baked goods, and they have lots of drinks as well. They also sell K-cups here. As Hak mentioned, free wifi that’s quite speeds and lots of parking. I could see myself hanging out here if I lived in the area, but for now it’ll just be a nice little stop when I’m in the west end.

Is it me or does anyone get a wiff of a bathroom when you first walk in? Anyways this little spot is a nice cozy place to hang out or do work. Lots of seating and a variety too. Lots of baked goods to choose from, which I’ve been very tempted to try but haven’t just yet(I ain’t gonna lie and say I’ve been eyeing the carrot cake every time I come). The coffee selection is broad and there are a variety of other drinks to choose from. Free Wifi and parking is generous. I’ve found the staff very friendly every visit. Place is clean and typically isn’t overly busy so sound levels haven’t been an issue(my visits have been mainly evening around 430PM). If you looking for an alternative to the more well known spots, this place will do just well for you. They just need to get rid of that odd smell that hits you when you first come in
