History

Established in 2011.

Realizing our own desire for a place where you can get an amazing breakfast WITH an amazing latte, while your counterpart gets an excellent burger with an excellent craft beer — a place you can see a great band one night, go for lunch the next, and chill to some DJ vibes another, then go for a nice dinner, relax on the patio with a cocktail, wake-up and go there for an amazing breakfast with organic ingredients and organic coffee — meet up with people, book a room for a meeting or party, or just stop in for a beer at the bar — we opened The Daily Grind Art Café for people. Just people — of all kinds, with varying music tastes, of various ages, with varying food sensitivities and preferences, who want good things for their body — where everyone can come together and enjoy art — culinary, musical, visual and social.

Meet the Business Owner

Krissy Mike W.

Business Owner

Born and raised between San Antonio and Houston, Texas, Krissy has lived her life creating art in an array of forms — visual, social and culinary. In 2010 she brought her culinary art into business form under the name «The Gluten-free Guru» which provided baking and catered foods. Her partner Mike had spent most of his life as a professional musician, producer and engineer — since meeting in Nashville, TN in 1995 they had always talked ideas about business and entertainment, and in 2011 they decided to put one of these ideas to the test in the form of a Café. It began as a coffee shop/bakery with a focus on excellent, gourmet coffee/espresso/tea, in-house baked goodies and bread — 100% gluten-free. Then they brought in the nightlife with beer, wine, liquor and entertainment — bands, DJs, comedy, art events and parties. Krissy constantly developed their food offerings, and by their 2nd year The Daily Grind has grown to become a full-service restaurant/pub/café
