Very cool place! Lots of unique items ranging from hoochy to fuddy but with LOTS of really cool styles in between. I didn’t find it too pricey, and the sales racks toward the back offer lots of nice items at a great price. Sizing is all over the place, but if you wear a typical size large or bigger you may have a harder time finding items. I wear a medium and I had to go up to a 3XL in some items. But other items did fit normally, and they have some great accessories too (which are on the pricey side).

Management has changed and the older person in charge is not very patient or honest with questions, especially on the final price of items. There are other stores like this in Ottawa and the owners are very pleasant!

This place has many unique finds. Yes, expensive, but boutiques downtown will never be cheap.
There are usually two long racks at the back where sale items are displayed. If you take your time to browse through them, it’s not hard to find something to like.

Ruby X is one of the better places to shop in Ottawa if you’re under 30 and in the market for something unique and fashionable. The clothing is often nice, especially the dresses and coats. The men’s section is a larger portion of the store than you’d see in most boutiques, but it’s still not the majority.
The prices are a bit expensive, but nothing out of the ordinary for a boutique in Ottawa. They also always have a large on sale section at the back.
Unfortunately, their clothing and shoes sometimes borders on hoochy, especially when they have logos and rhinestones plastered all over them.
However, for the most part, Ruby X has great clothing, especially for people with some flare to their look.
