I only give it 4 stars because they don’t have the XL soup option. When I go for phở, I want a bucket of it lol. But ooverall, it’s my go-to phở restaurant. I don’t even have to give my order anymore, the waiter just brings me my usual. Love it.

I came here to try Phở for the very first time! And needles to say, I’m hooked! Quiet, cute little restaurant. The staff here is very attentive. I don’t have much to compare it too, only because I’m afraid to try anything else!

I pass by this place often and finally decided to stop in for lunch with a friend. The restaurant is small and simple. The service was fast and the portion size was fantastic. I ordered Ph Bò Gà(rare beef & chicken), bubbletea(kiwi with tapioca pearls) and deep fried bananas to share for desert. The phở was pretty good(although I haven’t eaten much phở in my life) however, the bubbletea and deep fried bananas were excellent! The best deep fried bananas I’ve ever tasted, sweet and salty with icecream, just to die for. Overall, a very pleasant experience!

With the lack of ratings I was scared to think this place was closed– alas. Open for biz and there were quite a few people inside. Small and quaint, sit where you want. Pay at the counter when you’re ready. Good service Clean Fast Many food options from soups-rice-meats-dinner platters-more I’ve had phở all over the states and this one seemed sub-par. The broth was not very flavorful, and the soup was served with just noodles and beef– ordering a rare beef, I assumed the beef would be rare– not so much. Bean sprouts, lime and bay leaves on side– no cilantro, onions or jalapeño? Pretty plain… But still fine if you have a craving and are in the area.

Phở Mi Bo Ga has a reasonable decent broth for their phở. The portions are very generous for their sizes available for customers. The service was pretty good, the waiters were very attentive and sociable which was very pleasing. The atmosphere in the restaurant could use an upgrade, perhaps with more vibrant colors. Generally, it is a typical standard Vietnamese restaurant you can find in Ottawa.

I got the rice dish with pork and chicken. The portions were amazing for the price I was paying. Extremely flavorful and the food was cooked perfectly. Service was just two girls working cash and serving. Could have been better but the food was fantastic.

I lived down the street from a great ph place back home in Windsor, and I was sad to be giving that up. Luckily, though it’s not the end of the road, Ph Mì Bò Gà is practically around the corner and offers really tasty Vietnamese fare, and looking at Unilocal there’s no need to drive further for good ph. This is an above-average ph place, though it’s hard to go wrong with ph generally. Favourite dishes are the Ph c Bit(ph with basically everything in it — you’ll know it when you see it on the menu), the shrimp Bánh Hi(make your own rice paper rolls). The boyfriend really liked the Mì Khô(egg noodles with chicken, pork and shrimp in house broth) the last time we were there. I do wish that, when the rare beef was ordered, they would add it just before it came out so that it doesn’t cook through completely before it got to the table, but that is my only complaint, and honestly it’s touch-and-go as to whether it cooks through even if it’s added at the last minute. Smoothies and drinks are also good(I love the young coconut drink.) The service is friendly and quick. You do have to go up to pay, so don’t sit around waiting for them if you’re ready to go. The biggest downside is that if you’re driving North on Bank it’s kind of a pain to turn into the plaza(it’s the first left, before the McDonald’s.) Definitely worth the trip if you’re out in Southern Ottawa feeling a chill, a cold coming on or just peckish.

This restaurant is located in a strip plaza on the busy intersection of Hunt Club and Bank. There is tons of parking and the décor is plain yet clean. This place serves Thai and Vietnamese food though I haven’t tried the Thai food. The Pad Thai is pretty popular but I remain sceptical. The phở and vermicelli however is delicious. the portions are generous although sometimes they skimp on the meat. The Shrimp rice rolls are really good. Overall the food is good although not exceptional. The service can wary depending on the owners presence. If there owner is not there, you might as well expect the wrong order to be brought to your table and tardy service. a good place to catch a quick meal but that’s about it.

Delish! One of the better Vietnamese restaurants in town. Contrary to the listing, they do take out and accept debit. I tried a C06 from the menu after it was recommended by the waiter. It was very good!

This is hands down the best Vietnamese place in town. The best! I know, I know, everyone says that about thier fave place. This is better than any spot in China town. The vermicelli bowl here is a work of art. Pad thai? Excellent. I say double the sauce and extra spicy. They are packed all the time and having ate here a couple times a week for the last few years, I have only had two misteps in service and they both were small issues overall.

Didn’t have a good experience here at all. The fried rice was scorched and overly salty, and some of the food was cold.

I love the pad thai here. I miss it, and when I was by Ottawa I just wanted to eat it constantly. I had the pad thai with shrimp, Pad Thai Xào Tôm. It tasted radically different than the pad thai that I have been served in Chicago. It had a strong, but not overpowering spice, or kick, that I just adore.

I never used to be that adventurous with foods. But, when I moved overseas, sometimes it wasn’t easy to find simple and home-cooked meals. In Korea, my wife and I ate lots of Korean food, but when we wanted something a little different we ate at this Vietnamese place. Coming back to Canada, we wanted to experience the wonders that are Vietnamese food again. We discovered Phở Mi Bo Ga on Bank Street, at the little strip plaza where Tucsons is located. Phở is Vietnamese beef soup with a thin broth and tiny noodles. My favourite is the cold noodle with veggies and the red, spicy sauce. It is to DIE for! You get such huge portions, but if you focus, you can get it all in! Watch the sauce though — if you put on too much, you are asking for trouble. It is HOTT!
