Dr. Brownrigg has focused exclusively on facial plastic surgery since 1984. He is a member of the Ottawa Civic Hospital, the General Hospital, and the Ottawa SurgiCentre, a private accredited facility featuring state-​of-​the-​art technology and outpatient ambulatory services.

At his Ontario practice, cosmetic surgeon Peter Brownrigg, M.D. takes pride in offering the most advanced, non-​invasive treatments available, taking advantage of developments in plastic surgery procedures whenever possible. In facelift surgery, for example, Dr. Brownrigg uses advanced techniques — including SMAS facelift, and S-​lift facelift — to make the procedure safer and less invasive while cutting down on healing time and bringing about beautiful, subtle results. He completed his internship at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, B.C., and went into general practice in Esquimalt, B.C. in 1981. In 1982, Dr. Brownrigg left his private practice to begin his general surgery residency at the University of Ottawa, which he completed in 1984.

Peter Brownrigg, M.D. is active in a variety of medical societies in both the United States and Canada.

Currently, Dr. Brownrigg is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology and a staff member at the Civic, Riverside, General Hospital. He is also a staff member at the Ottawa Surgicentre, a state-​of-​the-​art accredited facility which offers general anesthesia and sedation.
