Specialties

We believe in beauty without compromising your health. We are an organic spa, retail and online beauty boutique specializing in organic spa treatments and carry a unique selection of organic and natural personal care products for the entire family.

History

Established in 2011.

ORESTA organic skin care is anything but typical. ORESTA is more than a spa, more than an eco-beauty boutique. ORESTA is an experience. Walk into one of our three brick and mortar locations in three of Ottawa’s hippest neighbourhoods: the Glebe, Hintonburg and New Edinburgh.

In 2011, our third location, ORESTA organic skin care gallery in New Edinburgh was born. Formerly an art gallery, this is the most contemporary of our locations. The 100 year old building has a sorted past, once being the home of a famous milliner. Our gallery space is a unique contrast of antique pine floors, modern dark wooden shelving and large bright walls with original art by Christopher Griffin to give a gallery feel. Located in the up and coming neighbourhood of New Edinburgh, ORESTA is in good company with a growing number of specialty stores and a focus on arts and cultural events.

My Beauty Motto: There is nothing more beautiful than a woman who is comfortable with her perfect imperfections.

My Beauty Ritual: Seabuckthorn Cleanser, Rosehip & Fennel Facial Serum, Bamboo Firming Fluid, Afterglow foundation in Bisque, ILIA lipstick — Perfect Day

The Product I Cannot Live Without: Afterglow Cosmetics Triple Eye Treatment in Praline is a 3:1 eye cream, concealer and brightener. I love the creamy texture, ease of application and how it conceal the darkness around my eyes and illuminates my eyes.

When I’m not Working: I’m happiest when I am travelling (or dreaming of travelling) to faraway places with my family.

Why Organic? During my struggle with adult acne, I realized that you really are what you eat and that you need to nourish your skin with healthy food. I want to educate not only my daughter but all women that it just doesn’t make sense to compromise your health for beauty. We need to be good to yourself and good to your planet.
