Meat in the middle is a hip neighborhood gourmet sandwich shop that roasts fresh beef, turkey, and pork for beautiful and generous sandwiches. Everything is prepared from scratch using whole foods. The feature attraction is out house made Montréal style smoked beef brisket… smokey, beefy and melt in your mouth good served on fresh rye bread. Meat is a hip spot in the center of downtown Ottawa with nutritious delicious and generous sandwiches. Other highlights of the menu are an amazing Cuban sandwich and selection of paninis like out BLTG; bacon, arugula, sundried tomato tapande and goat cheese… Crispy, creamy, tart and baconie goodness.
History
Established in 2014.
Meat in the middle is a collaboration of 2 great chefs, Bruce and Jeremy have over 40 years experience between them. The goal was to create a no B.S. restaurant that just serves unpretentious great comfort food with some redeeming nutritional value. No deep fryers or processed foods here, just whole fresh foods prepared in a healthy manner and bottom line good eats. We believe what people want today is real whole foods at the same pace and price as a fast food chain. Its a little more work and a little less profitable than the fast food out there but it is the right thing to do as Chefs
