Jo-Jo’s Pizza

Hailing from Stittsville I can honestly tell you that Jo-Jo’s has always been my favourite pizza spot! I’m really excited that it’s made it’s way to kanata! Visited the new location and got a small vegetarian pizza which they cooked fresh for us. The pizza was amazing, soft doughy crust with the perfect amount of sauce smothered with cheese and freshly cut vegetables. Really reminds me why I love Jo-Jo’s so much.
The only thing that upsets me as a Jo-Jo’s fan is the prices… I feel as though it is overpriced, so I often buy pizza from other places, walk-​in small veggie was almost $ 15 with tax and my friend and I ordered delivery the other day (med. spicy vegetarian, yum!) and it came to $ 32 dollars, with tip that’s almost a $ 40 pizza. In my mind that’s too much to spend. We still indulge in Jo-Jo’s every now and again but they are really driving people away with their steep prices, especially when Willy’s is almost half price and just as good. Even a walk-​in special would be awesome, considering the new place looks amazing inside!

My most recent visit was to try out the donairs. My husband is a Maritimer who misses donairs the way I miss Southern California Mexican food. Since one of the other reviewers said the donairs were decent, he decided to give it a go.
The verdict: «It’s good, but it’s not a donair. The sauce is more like tzatziki than… Well, donair sauce has more garlic.» Apparently, some of the vegetables were not what is traditionally included in a donair, either. At any rate, the taste was fine, but he won’t be going back for that.
Meanwhile, I had a pizza, which was decent. Their gluten-​free crust is one of the better ones I’ve tasted.

Dropped in last night for a bite around suppertime. We had their donairs. My wife and I are from the east coast and we know donairs. Although what Jo-Jo’s served up wasn’t what we are used to back east, they were VERY GOOD. The meat was super tasty and the veggies were good. They even let us try their sauce before we ordered.
They sell pizza by the slice too, which is nice since not many places seem to offer this in our neighbourhood. We watched the guys make pizza while we were eating and they looked very good. We will try it for sure.
The dining area is small as this is mostly a take-​away place. Appeared to be very clean.
Staff are super friendly too.

This place offers pizza, subs and donairs. I have never actually had their pizza, but rather eat their subs, which are very good. Today I tried a donair and fries. The donair rivals any I have had down east! Even their fries were great!
