It’s funny because I never ever knew the name of this place until I looked it up! If you’ve ever taken or gotten off of a bus at the Mackenzie King bus station at the Rideau Centre, you’ve definitely passed this place over and over. Most people have purchased at least an item or two here, maybe without even realizing it. It’s a small convenience store on the third floor of the mall, right across from the OC Transpo sales and information centre. Because this centre is here, Gateway doesn’t sell bus tickets, like most people think. They do, however, sell a whole bunch of things you need on the go, and for inexpensive prices, including gum, snacks, cold drinks, newspapers, smokes, lottery tickets, and even phone cards. It’s more than conveniently located because it’s right in front of the bus station, and it’s also open later than mall hours. Be warned though — once the busy hours are over, the attendants like to blast techno music that can sometimes be heard all the way down to the elevators.
