Food was ok — service was horrible. Came in for the«all you can eat pizza & pasta» as depicted on the sign outside. First off, it is not a buffet style so that was disappointing. You are supposed to get a salad and one serving of pasta with garlic bread and choice of pizza slice. Then you can have all the pizza you want after that. However, we never got our salad, and it took forever for the waitress to offer us an additional slice of pizza. Our water was never refilled and took a long time to get plates cleared and our ticket brought(and the place was mostly empty). It was an ok value($ 10.99) as the pasta serving was huge but would have rather had an assortment of pastas like a true buffet. We won’t be going back.

The washroom was okay. They have a decent sized one room locked door style stall. That implies one sink and one toilet and I believe that was it. It was relatively clean. Nothing awful. Got food poisoning. The pizza was average at best. Anyway. Would never got back again. Haven’t felt that bad from a restaurant in many years.

Like many others have said, great breakfast at a fair price. Get there early as the dining room fills up quick. They lost a star because their service is a tad slow on a few fronts. It seems they don’t have enough wait staff for the traffic.

I just moved onto Carling and after a long exhausting day I ordered pizza from the Carling Ave restaurant. I had quite a few hungry guys and Gabriel’s did not disappoint. It was not greasy or messy and the crust was perfect. They all raved how good it was and it was all gone in mere minutes. I think Gabriel’s will be my go to for pizza from now on.

This pizza really is as good as it gets. Gabriel’s Pizza is a tough rival for the best pizza in Ottawa(see my personal list). Their pizzas are loaded with toppings. The crust is crispy on the bottom and chewy and soft on the inside. There is a good amount of pizza sauce, and the pizza is topped off with an incredible amount of cheese. My meat-eating friends and I got the Canadian and the Meat Deluxe(bacon, ham, onion, peppers, tomatoes). Both pizzas were loaded with strips of crispy, perfectly cooked bacon strips and gooey cheese strings as we pulled slices from the box. Even my non-meat loving friends, who ordered a Hawaiian and a Veggie Deluxe were deliciously surprised by the amount of veggies. The Deluxe was loaded with cucumber, onions, peppers, olives, tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, and cauliflower. Almost rivaling their amazing pizza is their home-made garlic dipping sauce. As a Lebanese pizza place, their garlic sauce is obviously similar to or the same as the sauce they use on shawarmas, and it’s a delicious combination. The garlic sauce is fresh and packed with garlic, which gives a strong yet fresh and balanced garlic flavour. They also offer the typical Heinz pre-packaged dips, but you’ll want to try the garlic! In all, one of the best pizzas in Ottawa! A must try!

Worst service ever! Did not even try this pizza the service was so bad. Ordered a pizza, told ten minutes… then told another five…25 min later still no pizza so we left… bad first impression, we will NEVER go back. Loud cooks in the back basically yelling the whole time… very poor presentation of this company, extremely unprofessional.

I really hate to give this establishment a 2 rather than a 5 but I have no choice. And I’m going to put in in CAPS. GABRIELPIZZAISNOTHANDICAPFRIENDLY. PERIOD. THATTAKES3STARSOFFTHEIRREVIEWRIGHTTHERE. I went there for breakfast today for the second time. What a pleasant surprise that a pie joint does awesome breakfast AND coffee! My fist visit was like«where did this place come from and how come I haven’t seen it before?» The menu choices would have even made my Mother happy there were so many. Healthy and then that weekend«I want Big Breakfast» choices. Everything seems to be fresh and garnished to please. I love restaurants that«plate» your food, not just slop it on a surface and hope it stays. However that’s where the fairytale ends. Today when I went, I asked for a booth, like I always have to in every restaurant I go to(back issues), and they could not accommodate me. Now I have no problem with waiting a few minutes for breakfast; but there was clearly no where for me to «wait». After animatedly giving the area the once over so the staff would be sure to catch it, I glanced at the now 3 staff members standing there with expectation of a solution. Did they expect me to just stand there and«wait». Apparently. No solution was forthcoming. Which obviously means they didnt have one which means they are NOTHANDICAPFRIENDLY. Too bad Gabriel. Your food is awesome, but like I say; there’s too much competition out there to be anything less that accommodating and polite to your bread and butter(read: us) or people will willingly vote with their feet.

I never expected to go to a pizza shop and have an awesome breakfast, but it happened. As a franchise, all stores have an independent owner and this one has the best owner in town. The most fresh and delicious recipes are served here and they don’t cheap out on portions. My fav dishes are the eggs benedict and the build your own omelet. They use real, freshly cut fruit and they don’t charge you a fortune for it like most places. They also make their own hash browns with fresh potatoes and seasoned with a special spice. You won’t find frozen or re-heated products on your plate. It’s a hidden gem in a strip mall, but it’s the hottest spot in the south end. Get there early!
