Fresco’s specializes in delicious food, craft cocktails, fine spirits & wines. Our new food menus are honest and approachable bistro fare with some creative twists and turns. We focus on buying high quality ingredients that speak for themselves. We cook using Italian roots and a Canadian soul.
History
Established in 1991.
Business started in 1991 by two friends named Dave. In 2005 it was taken over by two brothers who still own and operate it to this day.

My brother Matt and I are the owners. We have two locations so Matt runs our west end location and I run Elgin St. I’ve been working in customer service since I was quite young at my mother’s ice cream shop in the Byward Market. During University at Dalhousie I had the opportunity to work a variety of restaurants in Halifax. I was especially inspired by my experience working at the Velvet Olive on Market St in 1999, which no longer exists, but it was where I was met all kinds of really great servers and bartenders who have all launched successful careers in the industry since then.
