I am very surprised that nobody has written a review before now, for Carp Fair, or the Fair Grounds. I love a country fair, especially when it is close to home. This one is no exception. Along with the rides, they offer baking and crafting competitions, and those special foods you only get at the fair. The grounds are used for a variety of things throughout the year, including being used as a polling station for the area whenever there’s an election. Once or twice they’ve even used this site as a meeting place for information about the Carp Dump(which I still wish they would close!!) This is also the very same site that is in use throughout the summer on Saturdays as a farmers market, and yearly in August for the Carp Garlic Festival. Do you remember last year(almost 2 years ago now), when the Cheshire Cat burned down to the ground? They had a fund raiser for the staff who lost their jobs due to that fire, and it was held here at the Carp fair. Carp is very community minded, and the Carp Fair is a great hangout while there are events on the site. I will definitely be back!
