History

Established in 2012.

Bauss is an innovative Ottawa-​based technoART company that was conceived in the summer of 2012. The founder of the company worked on fascinating biometric projects for the federal government. His fascination of the science steadily became a strong appreciation for the art. Prototypes were created and the idea was shared with family and friends. Soon thereafter, the concept and artwork continued to gain traction and people began asking how they could purchase their own. When this loop was closed, so to speak, BAUSS was born.

What sets us apart from the other art providers is that we give our customers the power to make their own creation on our website. We want our customers to be part of the creative process from start to finish, so we have created a simple step by step process that gives everyone the ability to create personal creations for family and friends.

I am a total art enthusiast! I have always had a passion for art and artistic expression. I love interpreting other peoples’ work as much as I love being surrounded by creative minds.

In the past, consumed by a corporate 9 to 5, I had little opportunity to explore my inventive side. Bauss became a great inspiration both in my personal and professional life. I started this company with the intention of enriching lives through art. An indirect, yet positive result of this endeavor manifested itself in fulfilling my own desire to be involved in the art-​world.

Studying under the greats like Dali, Picasso and Da Vinci, I have learned that art is meant to be expressive, personal and meaningful, but most of all, it’s meant to be fun.
