A&M Mart

My wife and I have been checking out pizza joints all over town — part of our ongoing quest for Ottawa’s best pizza deal. I saw the sign for A&M Mart pizza one night while driving around Vanier and decided to pop in for a slice (my favourite measuring stick for pizza places). When I went inside, I was surprised to discover that as well as being a pizza place, A&M was also a convenience store and the cashier stand for a nearby gas station and a cigarette store. I asked for a slice and was told they don’t do slices. But, the owner did point me to his selection of pre-​fabricated sandwiches and burgers that I could heat in his microwave. Yummy! Go for smokes and to pay for your gas fillup, but you might want to give this place a miss if you are in the market for a pizza.
