I love Smoke’s because the quality is consistent no matter the location. I’ve been to Smoke’s in Halifax, Toronto and Oshawa and it is always good. I like this location in Oshawa even more because the Smoke’s Hot Dog joint just opened up beside, so you can get a ridiculous hot dog and killer poutine right beside each other.

What a disappointment, I thought Oshawa was hitting it big when we got a smokes. They sure spent a few bucks to spruce the place up but why wouldn’t they spend some more on the product. Dry tasteless McDonald’s style fries that are very unappealing and no matter what toppings they just seem like a dry overpriced mistake. Walk down the road to buster rhinos for some real poutine or even Montréal poutine on Bond street

Came here because it was close to the hotel we were staying at while in town, it has to be the most delicious Poutine I’ve had so far. I will definently come back here again when I’m in town! A+++

We had Montréal Smoked meat Poutine in the a.m., drove back home to Oshawa and came here to compare the poutine. It’s okay, and nowhere near the original stuff in Montréal!
What to improve:
There’s a slight bitterness to the poutine resulting from the fact that the fries are not peeled, and over fried. The poutine would taste worlds better if they just peeled the fries & made sure to not over brown the potatoes. As well, the smoked meat is just sliced processed meat. Try using real smoked meat please.
Otherwise the place is clean and bright, and is open very late hours.

I brought my man there for the first time. He is a poutine addict and he had never been. Tsk tsk.
He stared at the menu like he was in heaven; he had no idea what to pick. The lovely lady working there told him not to be scared. She was great and knew a lot about Smoke’s itself, not just the food.
He got the Philly Cheesesteak and I got the usual Nacho Grande. I mentioned that I will eat guacamole on anything. She said I could get guac on whatever I wanted. Excellent. The Nacho Grande is my go-​to, so I’ve got to try something new next time. My man LOVED his poutine. He said that the sauteed onions were perfect and the gravy was good.
We’ll be back; he already has his next meal picked out.

The fries were dry in the middle with barely any cheese curds and the gravey well wtf it tasted like turkey gravey you would use for Christmas and its was pricey def could have gotten a better poutine elsewhere with a larger portion for less money

This is what poutine is all about. Decent fries, amazing gravy and lots of tasty options to go with it. Too many to list, but definitely worth checking out.
I went for the Italian — meat sauce and Italian sausage. It was so good! And unlike other places I’ve eaten poutine at, you still get gravy as well as the meat sauce. A good combination for my taste buds. They list on the menu the sauce is ‘homemade’ but I would say it tastes like from a can. Howeverm that being said, it is very nice, and I would order it again.
I will definitely be eating here again.

Best ever, almost had all their poutines, hogtown and nacho grande are my favourite, the wow size is for those really hungry people and is basically two normal poutines. I also like how they bring in new recipes all the time.
