Dr John Bruno & Dr Adam Hill

History

Established in 1980.

Dr Giovanni («John») Bruno was born in Port Arthur, Ontario. After moving with his mother to their native Italy for six years, they returned to Canada, settling in Oshawa, his home since 1961. Dr Bruno attended the University of Waterloo, studying science for a year before entering the school’s Doctor of Optometry program.

Dr Bruno returned to Oshawa upon graduating and started a new, solo optometric practice on Bond St. The practice continued to grow for over 10 years before moving to newer, larger premises at the present location.

In 2009, we were pleased to add Dr Adam Hill as an associate. Raised in Whitby, he graduated with honours from the University of Waterloo, earning a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degree. During his education, he completed externships in Baltimore and Malawi; he has also volunteered his services in Hong Kong, China, South Africa, and Mexico. He shares Dr Bruno’s passion for providing kind and compassionate eyecare to every patient.
