I ordered Pizza Pizza over 50 times this year because they have a really useful app, and their pizza tastes fresh and healthier than the super addictive Gabriel’s or Colonnade style. It’s always $ 10 cheaper than Gabriel’s too. My wife and kids prefer Pizza Pizza, even if I don’t. But I take it all back. I’m not buying this stuff anymore. And I’ll tell you why. My family moved to a new location in Orleans one month ago. We’ve ordered Pizza Pizza at least four times over four weeks. They arrived late on two of those occasions. Now, the«40 minutes or it’s free» policy was not created by me. Pizza Pizza created it. The Pizza Pizza app reminds me of when I placed my order so that I can keep track of it. So drivers have no reason to complain when they arrive late because their employer gives me every tool possible to keep them on their toes. When the driver arrived late the first time, I indicated that it’s free because they are X minutes late. The driver looks at me as if I’ve committed the greatest faux pas ever. Then he asked me «No! You’re really going to do that?» I caved and paid anyway. The second driver who was late pleaded«They take this out of my pay, sir!» He or the restaurant also forgot my free salad(that I rec’d in the app). He called the manager on his cell using speakerphone. The manager blamed the driver for forgetting the salad, avoided any responsibility, and told him that he’s gonna take the whole order of the driver’s paycheque. Outrageous! Why does Pizza Pizza have people(drivers and managers) like this representing it? It’s like dealing with power sales people when you decline the extended warranty. I’m only following what Pizza Pizza tells me — that after 40 minutes, it’s free; that I won a free side salad that I claimed when placing my order. I paid each time because I couldn’t stand the whining and drama from these grown men anymore. I told the second late delivery person that he’s in the wrong line of business. I also told him that I wouldn’t take crap from a boss who deducts late deliveries off my cheque. But this company is not handling it’s franchisees well enough for me to pay for their products. I complained each time to Pizza Pizza and was supposed to get compensated for both late orders. I haven’t rec’d any credit to my Mastercard yet.
