Despite being a bit more cooked than I requested, the lamb chops were DELICIOUS. Great value at this place. Just an all around good time with a good crowd, and witty service. Can’t wait to try the chicken souvlaki.

This place is so busy on the weekend so you should make a reservation. We had to wait, standing near an awkward coat rack at the front door for 25 minutes. It might be better to install a bench… people don’t need to hang their coat. The food took a long time to come out so we were there for 2 hours. There was a huge crowd of seniors rudely standing, talking loudly in the dining room and getting in the way of the servers. Because there is nowhere to stand, the host should have dedlt with this differently. The French onion soup has too much salt. The tomato sauce has some kind of weird cinnamon taste. The pizza was good. The waitstaff were very nice. A bit high priced.

We enjoyed a large pizza here. Two people and we took about half of the pizza home. My taste is for a less dense crust though. We would definitely return to try some of the other fare. I would say service was less attentive and guess that it was because we only had the pizza. After waiting to be checked on I finally managed to hail someone to get the red pepper flakes. Room for improvement I think.

Delicious food, but very pricey. It’s the place to go for a celebration. Everything I’ve had here was extremely tasty! I would highly recommend it if you have money to burn. But it’s hard to go back to mediocre food after eating here! You have been warned ;)

These guys have the best bbq chicken I’ve ever had. I’d recommend that. Classy enough that it feels good to go there but not too expensive. A perfect balance.

Went in about 1 year ago for lunch. It gets busy quick which tells you the food is good. Service was very nice and she recommended some of the favourites. Portion size is good and my meal(chicken wrap) was very good. They make their own burgers with fresh ground chuck and several other items are made fresh. Will go back next visit to Orillia. Might even bring the family this time ;)

Knew we would be in Orillia, and did a search of restaurants in the area. Since we were aware that it was going to be late, we had to choose restaurants that were open late and this fit the bill. The minute we walked in we were glad that we had chosen this place, despite having some coupons for other local restaurants. They have a classy but casual look with some contemporary undertones. I actually felt a little under-dressed in jeans and a t-shirt with a baseball cap on, but they didn’t seem to mind. The first question we asked since there was only one other couple in the restaurant, was to make sure the kitchen was open, and they also did not appear upset about that either. We really enjoyed this place, and will definitely go back. There was a huge selection of lunches any one of which we would have ordered. Since it was late, we went with a chicken parmesan split, with a Caesar salad as a side with the recommendation of the server. We went light, due to how late it was and not wanting something heavy like pasta. I did get a side order of extra fries, and it was huge and they were perfect. Crunchy but not overcooked, and consistently done. The sandwich was great, bun toasted well, and not over done with sauce so you could taste the chicken. Also, the side order of Caesar Salad was plentiful, and took up more than half of the plate. I can definitely see why this place gets the good reviews, and given the location and multiple medical facilities nearby they probably do very well at lunch. Service was good, and even when a server who walked by and wasn’t ours notice my pop was empty, she took the imitative and noticed asking if I wanted a refill. Even after were done eating, and ready to pay the bill our server offered me another drink. I normally like to visit the washroom, as this can often be an indicator of the kitchen, but given the rest of the experience do not think it would have been an issue. I highly recommend this place if you are in town, and worth the 20 minute drive from where we were staying.

A good friend who has lived in Orillia for more than 30 years recommended this place to me(nearly 20 years ago). We go there for dinner exclusively(I do not believe it is open for lunch). The baked spaghetti is to die for. Consistently good. Piping hot, very cheesy with pasta cooked to perfection. Portions are very big as well. Sauce tastes home made. Caesar salad dressing is also home made and deliciously tangy! This restaurant is always busy. They do take reservations, so I would recommend making one if you plan to go on a weekend.

Portion is generous — that’s about it. Had shrimp pasta — lots of over spiced pasta but need a magnifying glass to find the near near invisible shrimps. Souvlaki the only savory dish to order here. Salmon comes way overly sugared. The haddock fish plate lacks taste.

«It’s always busy here» says my dining companions. I wish I had a Theo’s in my town! You’ll need a reservation for any time on the weekend. The kitchen was slammed as every seat in the house was taken(we had a party of 8 which we made reservations for) Everything’s homemade — even the caesar salad dressing(make sure your date has one too, it’s intense but wonderful with real anchovies). Get a burger for around $ 8 or roasted lamb for $ 22 there’s something for everyone Not a fan personally of the potatoes, they’re probably a house favourite, but swap them out for the house grilled veggies. Pasta is big portions — the staff is used to bringing the take home container out, and quite recommend it, honestly LOL, which is nice. My mom ordered the phillo wrapped haddock and dill sauce — apparently it’s divine — crispy phillo — fish cooked to perfection. Service was slow… glacier slow… not for the entrees, but for everything else(½ hour for some cheesecake to be slapped on a plate?) Having said that, and not a huge cheesecake fan, the berry variety was very light and pleasing to the palate. All in all — it’s an excellent place, with fabulous variety for everyone in both price and selection.

We had booked two concerts at Casino Rama and a hotel on hotwire, please see my review for the econolodge if you want to read that horror story. Theo’s was discovered because it is located across the street from the econolodge in Orillia. when we spotted it, we noticed the parking lot was busy so we decided to go. There are limited options in Orillia, and I like trying new places. Theo’s is probably one, if not the best restaurant located in Orillia. The atmosphere makes you feel comfortable and welcomed, everyone is friendly and the service is fairly fast even when the place is packed! I have been a couple of times and each time had the veal parmigiana. If you read my reviews then you will know that I love veal and pasta. The food here is delicious! I have yet to be disappointed. The only thing that I don’t like is how they only bring one piece of bread for each person at your table, so you have to keep asking for more bread if you are a bread lover like myself. I strongly suggest you make a reservation, as this place has been busy everytime i have went and also if it’s a concert night at Rama, I would make a reservation a couple days ahead of time.
