It was a Saturday morning, one week after I made the horrible mistake of coloring my own hair, and I realized I had a situation! I called several other salons that made feel: 1. Like a complete loser for colouring my own hair (which I should have NEVER done-​LOL) 2. That I would have to schedule a 5 hour block of time with a major consultation to create a game plan on how to fix my brassy hair color. I’m a mother of two and that just isn’t possible! I called Trade Secrets Burloak and they were so warm and awesome from the very first moment that I called. They scheduled me into the salon an hour after I called. I arrived to smiles and met my stylist, Hyo. She was so warm, pleasant, non-​judgemental, and focused on the task of correcting my hair color. It took her 2.5 hours to fix my hair color. Overall, the personal touch, the service itself, and the cost factor into my 5 star rating. I can’t keep it a secret – this place is awesome. I won’t go anywhere else!

Update: they no longer have staff in for some services on the weekend. This means that if you have prepaid for any packages, you have to either lose your money or take time off work during the week (they are also not available until later weekday mornings). They seem unwilling to offer any practical solutions to this problem like having staff work some Saturdays, bringing in temporary help or people from other locations, or transferring services to other locations. Demoted to one star for trapping customers with jobs between a rock and a hard place.
