Trained in Civil and Structural Engineering, Jake has a strong building background with extensive experience in project management, procurement, scheduling, estimating, contracts, and the building code through the Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA). There’s more to a renovation than paint and drywall. Elements such as health and safety, structural requirements, and fire protection must also be considered.

History

Established in 2011.

Before starting Jake Meal Renovations and Custom Homes, Jake was a 14-​year industry veteran, senior consultant and partner with local land development company, Counterpoint Engineering. As Partner, Jake led a team of professionals that were actively involved in site acquisition, cost analysis, due diligence investigations, site plan development, project management, design, securing approvals, cost estimating, tenders and managing project budgets.

Jake’s construction management background brought a strong focus on practical, cost effective solutions to site development issues and he has a strong understanding of the site plan development process from site acquisition through to construction.
