Bronte GO Station

Maybe it will be a decent station after they finally finish the construction (after I move away!), but for now, this station is lacking.
The only place there is a small café and decent seating is in the main station, but currently, not all of the tracks are accessible through that area. They added an automated ticket machine in the West building, which helps if you are taking the bus and then need a ticket, but there still isn’t anyone to speak with at a counter.
Also, because you cannot get to Track 3 unless you take the West tunnel, everyone parks close to that tunnel, and it is difficult to find parking that will not require you to walk a great distance. You should get there well in advance of when your train departs during the week or you could miss your train due to looking for parking or walking from your parking to the train.
There are only a couple shelters on each platform (two near the East and two neat the West tunnel), which makes waiting in the cold with a bunch of other commuters likely.
Also, this is probably beyond this station’s control, but I find the trains usually run late about ²⁄₅ days a week.

I can’t help but feel that they’ve done a decent job with this station, overall. Which is confusing, because outside of rush hour, it’s probably one of the lesser used stations on the line.
The main terminal building has a decent amount of seating — more, I’d say, than most any station west of Union — though the single-​user bathrooms persist. The seating area does nicely separate the (almost always closed) Gateway on the Go convenience kiosk from the ticketing area, so that’s a bit less hectic.
My main beef with this station is that the elevators and Oakville Transit terminal are located at the opposite end of the platform from the main terminal, and as usual, the Ticket Vending Machine is at the main terminal. This must make for some very harried travelers and incredibly pissed off wheelchair users — especially if they need a ticket AND took the bus. Two trips, and they aren’t short ones, either.
Could also use some more shelters on the platform — gets VERY windy in winter.
