Dr’s are very good here; professional, smart, hard working and caring. I have been coming for the past 10 yrs.
On my most recent visit one client had his Rottweiler loose in the office. My dog started barking; the dog almost attacked me and my dog (as the owner was telling me the dog is friendly). After finally being taken to a waiting room, passing by the lunging growling Rottweiler, I mentioned to the admin (Anna) who witnessed the event, it is not the best idea to have a dog loose in the office; she mentioned it is «a friendly dog», it is on a leash now, what is she suppose to do and treated me very rudely; as if I did something wrong.
This type of treatment is not acceptable please be aware when visiting as this admin felt there was nothing wrong with a loose growling snapping Rottweiler roaming the office.
This was the first and only negative experience in my 10 years of visits with cat and dogs. All other admin, assistants, vets (everyone I’ve met there) has been very professional and helpful.

Yes my cat is better but at what cost? I am grateful for my pet but the fees are high and if you don’t watch can become astronomical very fast. Not only that, the people at the reception are not very welcoming, and the parking lot is littered with surgical gloves, feces, garbage of other sorts. Makes me frustrated cause I am on a budget, I have a pet and I always feel like the only reason some of these places become Veterinary is to make money, what ever happened to doing it cause your love of animals. I do like as a person my vet Dr. Krebs, she’s attentive and does call and make sure my cat was doing alright but I had to dish out almost $ 1400 for a no so serious visit. And his special cat food is $ 65 a bag. Makes me sad.

My husband took his Bernese mountain dog here for years. When we moved in together I decided to also take my husky here. So happy I did. Dr. Krebs and the entire staff are so amazingly professional, kind and seriously well educated. I wouldn’t trust another hospital or vet for that matter with my animals. Every time we have an appt, our vet and the staff are always on time, never kept us waiting. The prices are also extremely reasonable. The best part about this hospital is their hours– we are able to book the latest appointments usually around 8pm!

I don’t know how to convince you not to bring your pets to this hospital. They care only for how much money they can squeeze of you and play on your feelings. My dog saw 3 different vets at this location and all were trying to do ultrasound, X-​ray or surgery on him because he was vomiting intermittently (I brought him on different days). If you have to leave your pet overnight, they will make you to sign a commitment that you are liable for any cost of care that your pet «needed» while in their care. Rest assured, they will make sure of «needed» care. If that does not make sense to you — I ended up paying $ 5K out of my RRSP to cover their 3 day bill…

Spent $ 500 on X-​Ray for my dog and found out after that any vet familiar with my dog’s breed could take one look and know that the swelling on his joint was not from broken bones but rather a hereditary condition common to my dog’s breed. Waited quite a while for the vet even though appointment was made. Staff and vet are friendly but still not worth the money we wasted.

I was a bit skeptical and worried before deciding to come here because of the mixed reviews but I’m glad I took my chances. I’ve recently adopted a small terrier mix and came here without an appointment for a general check-​up. The wait time was 2hrs because they were pretty busy with emergencies and people who had actually scheduled an appointment.
I got Dr. Kathy Alcock who is phenomenal, she was patient and you could tell that she genuinely cares about animals. She came onto the floor with my dog who didn’t want to get on the exam table. She answered all my questions and gave me advice on issues that I was having with introducing a new dog to my 6 yr old Australian Shepherd at home. I will definitely be bringing him here from now on as well.
They also are reasonably priced, my other vet bill would almost always come out to $ 400 for vaccinations, a check-​up and a stool sample. Here my bill came to $ 200 for two vaccinations, a check-​up, toenail trimming, a stool-​sample, and a bag of dental benefit kibble.
I strongly recommend making an appointment with Dr. Alcock, I can’t speak for the other veterinarians. The technicians and receptionist are also very friendly and caring.

If you love your Pet «DO NOT» take it there .This clinic is Solely focused on systematically ripping you off… They are the epitome of the phrase

Willowdale hospital is focused on how deep you pocket is… and believe me they will find a way to empty it in a Very professional way.
I think also that all good doctors have left that Hospital…
Do you ever wonder why the animals shelters are full… because «hospitals like that exist… I wish the government have some kind of regulations on them but that will happen in many many years from now.

They were wonderful doctors 25 years ago as they are today. They are thorough, honest, professional, kind, passionate, emphatic… everything great. They did not pull on my heart strings in lieu of dollar signs. If I do this again, I’ll be back. Thank you Drs. Lee and Krebs and team.

The technicians were really nice people, and did the initial examination. Then the Dr came in, and instead of talking about what might be the problem, she prepared a plan of action. The stay for the fist night would be one price, but we were going to sign a document making us responsible for an exorbitant amount. I suffered a heart attack recently so I had no income for 6 months, which she commented that the prices were as they are and we need to sign. We decided against that and spent the night trying to keep our dog alive so we can go to our vet. I took her the following morning, as we were up all night. I agreed to leaving her at our vet, as he was going to do the same for her as the other vet, at ¹⁄₃ the cost. As we were finishing she died in front of me from a heart attack, at 2 years old. I would never go to this place again, as they are not interested in helping animals, at least the doctor that we saw wasn’t, as all that was important was the money, not the patient. We have been crying for 3 days, and are at a total loss, and some responsibility has to be taken by Willowdale Animal Hospital as they are obviously gouging people because we love our animals. Twinkle will be missed by many people, especially us, as she died to soon, and because of not being able to pay exorbitant fees due to life.

Would give 0 stars if I could — took my dog here after she was vomiting uncontrollably. We kept some of her vomit for the vet just in case he could analyze it and let us know whether it was something really bad or just the usual random spit ups that dogs have. It is ok if the vomit had no value for the consultation but, the vet didn’t say a word to us when we presented the baggie and simply threw it out without a glance. When he told us about treatment and tests worth thousands, we decided we wanted to give our dog one more night to see if she would stabilize. Immediately, he showed zero interest in us and pretty much walked away. The next day I went to Bayview mall vet clinic, they suggested half the tests that willowdale animal hospital did, and actually cared for my dog. They just care about your money here! Will never come back!

We have been going to see Dr. Bloom at Willowdale Animal Hospital for about two years now and, honestly, there aren’t enough good words we could say about them!
When we call to book appointments they are always able to get us in within a week or so and everyone who works at the front desk is always so friendly and personable.
Dr. Bloom is by far the most passionate veterinarian I have ever come across. I am very protective of my ‘fur babies’ and usually am put off by how clinical and cold most vets can be but Dr. Bloom is a stark contrast to most vets. He is so warm and loving towards both of our pets and he treats them as if they were his own. Both our pets (a yorkie and a cat) absolutely love Dr. Bloom as well as everyone else who works at Willowdale Animal Hospital. Dr. Bloom also makes sure to explain everything (medical terms, etc.) in a way that the average person can understand — which helps a great deal!
Our cat, Zoe, has seizures which tend to be induced in stressful situations. As a result, she usually doesn’t like to leave the house. She also gets very freaked out at the vet and it can be difficult to keep her still long enough for the vet to do a full check up. Our experiences at Willowdale Animal Hospital have been amazing. When we arrived for one of Zoe’s appointments, we explained that her seizures can be triggered when she is stressed out (perhaps when she sees other large dogs in the waiting room), so one of the ladies that works at the front desk promptly put us into a room so Zoe could explore and get to know her surroundings without being scared or stressed by other large and unknown animals. When Dr. Bloom got to the room Zoe was already feeling alot more comfortable but we still worried how she would do when he was trying to do a check up. He then took out a nifty tool (a little clip that goes onto the skin on her neck) and it instantly calmed her down. It was like she was a different cat! She immediately laid down (long enough for Dr. Bloom not only to do a checkup and blood work but also for them to trim her nails — which is always a struggle!!).
Needless to say, Willowdale Animal Hospital is a caring environment for your pets. I would wholeheartedly recommend this facility for anyone in need of a vet!

So far that was my best experience with vet. Our dog had an injury at his eye, so they immediately told us to come. Everyone in the clinic was nice. The veterinarian was very nice and explained to us everything. She give our dog all the «necessary» treatments. I am saying this because I was in other vets where they just try to sell many unnecessary service or treatments as you actually need.
The price is ok, we were expecting to pay a bit more in this area.

I brought my kitten here for an initial consultation a few days ago, and met with Dr. Krebs. At first, I was a little bit paranoid about being taken advantage of by vets who guilt you into paying for all these tests for your pet. However, Dr. Krebs gave me practical advice — in that my kitten doesn’t need certain shots since she’s a strictly indoor cat without any other animals in the household.
I didn’t feel pressured into doing anything, but took her advice to check my kitten for HIV/​Leukemia via a blood test. She also did a stool test (we brought in a sample) and fed our kitty the deworming pill for us. Overall, the consultation itself was not expensive ($ 69.90), but our visit totalled $ 315 after tax.
The facility was clean, and the staff was friendly. They sell a few lines of pet food, like Royal Canin, Prescription Diet… etc. The big bonus is that they’re open 24 hours!
I thought it was necessary to perform those tests since I adopted my cat from the shelter. I’m bringing her back for her booster shots ($ 100) next week!

I brought my cat here one saturday night. $ 1500 later, all he had was constipation. (he was backed up to his stomach) AND he was traumatized. I would never bring my cat back there again. Staff was okay, but I don’t think my cat received the attention he needed while being boarded. I couldn’t believe it was the same cat when I picked him up. It took him months to go back to the way he was before. I do have to say though, the vet who saw my cat was amazing, Dr Ibrahim. he even phoned to follow up, etc. he had a very calming bedside manner and was very knowledgable. I can’t say anything positive though about the rest of the staff though. They forgot to give me one of the meds the doc prescribed, and I had to go back to pick it up, I don’t have a car so this was not really an easy thing to do, I had to get a ride there.

One day, I took a stray kitten home, but after a day or two and lots of diarrhea, it lay motionless in the box we put it in. Since we lived near Willowdale Animal Hospital, we took it there.
There, we met Dr. Raffat Ibrahim, who told us that the kitten had passed, and it was probably due to Feline Panleukopenia, which is a highly contagious viral disease. He graciously offered to take the kitten and box from us, in order for them to take care of the remains. They also put a sign on the door of the exam room, «No cats for 24 hours.»
The horror was, however, that we had a cat of our own, and we were so worried that she might have been exposed to the disease. A horrible, horrible feeling.
Dr. Ibrahim suggested we bring our cat in immediately for blood tests and to keep her at the animal hospital overnight, so that we could disinfect our apartment (and give 24 hours for any traces of the virus to die).
So, we took our cat, Kirin, in… and everyone was so friendly and treated Kirin very well. It was very convenient, too, since it is open 24-​hours and it was around 19:00 when we first brought the kitten in, and around 22:00 by the time we brought Kirin in. (If it wasn’t open 24-​hours, it wouldn’t make sense.)
Finally, we got the results back and Kirin was A-​OK. I was so glad, and Dr. Ibrahim was so helpful the entire time. He reassured us, and gave us a lot of warnings and steps to take for the next time: if you have your own cat, don’t bring stray cats home!
We spent around $ 355 that time, but it was all worth it.
(Subsequently, I read a lot of negative things about Willowdale Animal Hospital… mostly complaining about how expensive they are… but I ask you… isn’t it worth it, knowing that they are there 24-​hours a day for you and your baby?!)

I am very happy with the service Willowdale Animal Hospital has to offer, I have brought my cat here once before when he had just a tiny problem and I couldn’t wait until normal business hours because I am so impatient and when I know something just isn’t right, especially for my baby I have to get it fixed!
I recently had him boarded at Parker’s Pets which did a wonderful job but since Mr. Gilmour has been recently diagnosed with diabetics they will no longer take him there. They do not do injections, so I called Willowdale and they only do boarding for previous clinics and I luckily have taken Gilmour here before.
He stayed for 5 days, and they only charge for how many nights he stayed over so I was billed for 4 days. The convenience about this clinic is that they are open 24 hours so I was able to pick him up on my way home after midnight and didn’t need a special trip to come get him in the morning.
When I came to pick him up they knew exactly who he was and said they adored him so much and would miss him. Apparently he was the only good kitty that weekend! It felt great knowing that Gilmour was looked after and giving lots of attention as well as giving his insulin as he needs it twice a day!
I cant wait to bring him back, I am really thinking about getting his file transferred here and dealing with his recently diagnosed diabetes at Willowdale, as I loved how they show care for my cat! :)
