I think they were taken over by new owners in the past five years or so. I’ve been going to this place regularly. The lady is an absolute expert at alterations. She can do magic on my clothes, literally. I trust her for everything and she gives her honest opinion. Her work is impeccable and expert-quality. I didn’t think twice about coming here to shorten the sleeves on my cashmere Burberry jackets or to hem my expensive jeans(true religion, jbrand, siwy, hudson jeans) and to shorten my Hugo Boss work dresses or my Oscar de la Renta gowns etc. Seriously, if someone is in need of a tailor in the area, I highly recommend her.

for the love of all clothes, shoes, and bags, do NOT go here! i’m convinced there’s a conspiracy underlying the operations at what appears to be a 3-in-1 service shop offering: i) dry cleaning & tailoring — that may not result in return of cleaner or tailored clothes, even though you have your receipt!(e.g. «sorry, cannot find») ii) shoe repair — that will not stretch your boots, but will charge you full price, make you wait weeks, and scratch the leather while they’re at it. iii) retail items — displayed as though there is only one of each item(from a range of sizes), and looks curiously used-yet-clean. newer looking items include baby-Ts and hats, questionably labelled with«baby phat», «juicy» or «ed hardy». connect the dots… and keep your belongings.
