This is a tiny location, it’s like 3 – 5 times smaller than the regular LCBOs. If you are snooty about some specific wine or special beer you want, go to the regular size stores. But if you are like me and just gets the most popular ones or whichever is one sale, then this place is for you. Great location, very convenient for those in the area. Attached to a «mall» so you don’t need to go to those stand-alone ones, you can grab a bottle of wine right after getting groceries. I do have a comment about the ID checks, maybe it’s just the area or the demographics, but I get checked almost every time I come. And I’m not like 25 or anything close, I’m way older. It’s gotten to the point where it’s kinna annoying. Every time they ask they make you feel like a criminal or something. If you like sweet wines, I got a great Barefoot Moscato wine from California on sale now for $ 8.95! Super sweet which I love!

Ummm excuse me, no Fontana di Papa? How am I supposed to like this place when they don’t carry my favorite wine??? It’s super super small, the beer selection is lagging too. Go to the one just North of Cummer and Yonge, they’re much bigger and carry all my favorite wine AND they’re open until 10pm.

This is the LCBO closest to my work so really, this is just a stop-by and pick up place. Not as fancy or large or nice as the Bayview Village or McEwan;s location which are my two fave places to pick up wine and booze of all sorts. I have had some bad experiences at this LCBO location in terms of ID check… not so much why they were asking, but the manner of tone. For the most part, decent selection. This is quite small and its not the place to peruse. By the way, just picked up the Christmas edition of the Food and Drink magazine which is free, Lovely recipes and pictures to dream, 8⁄30

I just did a quick stop in here to pick up a bottle of wine for a friend. This location is small. But had everything I needed. It’s on the street level of Empress Walk so it’s convenient for people walking off from the subway or street. The staff were friendly & efficient. Only small thing I can complain about was the older man in the store who smelled quite bad. A mixture of cigar, alcohol & b.o. Take a shower dude!

This store is great, the selection is not the biggest in the world and the store may not be the biggest but it’s fine for me! This location is located at Empress Walk and is in walking distance to me which is a big convenience, I mean not that I am an alcoholic or anything just that If i would like a glass of something or other to go with my dinner or for the evening I can pick it up!

In terms of LCBOs, this location is average in size, selection, and display. And average ain’t bad when it comes to these areas of our province-wide LCBOs. But it’s the sheer CONVENIENCE of this location makes this one just a bit better than the standard. That is, being in Empress Walk means that, whether one is grocery shopping, on the way to the movies, heading up or downtown by subway, or heck, even to the library, you can be sure to grab an ice cold beer, fill a flask, or get a gift en route. Unfortunately, like other LCBOs, the prices are also standardized and that bottle of alcoholic beverage is likely going to cost 5x more than many places in the world. Also the store hours are some-what limited(the LCBO past yonge-cummer is open 1 hour later).

Ummm can you say heaven? I am not an alcoholic, nor do I promote alcoholism but walking through the door of that historic building — at one time it was a train station — Leaving Las Vegas somehow makes sense to me. Who wouldn’t want to take home bottles and bottles of the gentle(sometimes even harsh) elixirs beautifully displayed in the location’s various rooms? The store also often has samples and I don’t mean just booze. A variety of companies will come in and give out tasters of their food products to match with a drink. Talk about party central. Basically, it’s the best LCBO store in the city and if you’re going to frequent any, say goodbye to Queen and Brock people, this is the one where you can do it in style.
