Enco Auto Trim & Glass

HORRIBLE «service» and very poor attitude of the owner Lou. I brought my 2000 Porsche to have the convertible top replaced with a quality part I bought myself.
The installation was only 90% acceptable, there were openings near the frame on both sides, Lou claimed it was «cheap» part I bought despite initially saying it was «excellent» brand when I brought the car and part in. I told Lou I will get a second opinion and if I can get the issues resolved, then I am coming back to sort out the charges.
He said: «GO AHEAD!» with a very snobby tone of voice, and implied it’s defective part that I bought.
I went to another shop who fixed the poor installation issues after 4 hours of work, charged me $ 350, which is half of what Lou charged me for the botched work.
I also noticed many scuff marks on the convertible frame that were not there in the pictures I took just before I dropped off the car at Enco, not too surprising since I later saw his staff using metal tools prying against the cars being worked on which were not protected with masking tape etc.
When I returned to Enco asking Lou to refund me for the repair to the botched job his staff performed, he completely loses it, threatened me, swore profanities at me, refused to refund me the amount to repair the issues caused by his shop.
Eventually I left recognizing I am just wasting my time dealing with this very poor minded business owner, who does not seem to care the poor on-​line reviews I will be writing is worth refunding me $ 350.
BTW, the shop that repaired the issues is a well known shop called New Images Interiors (416)752−0883 at Midland and Lawrence area in Scarborough, I should have gone there in the first place.
It was an ugly and costly experience for me no thanks to Lou and Enco, don’t make the same mistake as I did!!!

came bye, needed to replace a hinge of my rear glass windshield of car. came to see if they could do job and was even willing to put in car for service if need be. one of the guys from shop whom i originally thought was owner came out to look at the issue… and was very nice about it, professional. told me to back up into the shop… so he can take a look.
meanwhile, owner came out from nowhere started to scream how he pays for his employees and how i cant be taking to them, he needs to feed his children too etc etc (as if we all dont have those needs!). I was trying to explain i didnt know the guy was not the owner and that he was right… that i fully agree with him but he wouldnt listen and kept screaming like i was a rotten fish! wouldnt give me an estimate for the job (essentially screw in a bolt !) and just kept being rude about it all! ended up doing the job on my own and took me 5 mins!
nonetheless, certainly not a way to treat potential clients. luck of knowledge and client care (really took me 5 mins and i am not handy what so ever!) would have done better if he let his stuff deal with clients!!!

I had a beyond fantastic experience at Enco. I would (and have) highly recommend Enco to anyone who needs glass work.
I have a 2000 Ford Mustang convertible and shattered the rear window when I put the roof down and it hit something in the backseat. I called multiple Ford dealerships and they quoted me high prices to replace the window (and possibly the entire roof since the window is in the fabric). The dealership I had been working with then called me back to say that they wouldn’t be able to do the work for me and suggested that I call Enco. Louis Cimicata quoted me about a ¹⁄₃ of the price of the dealership (such a relief since I did not want to spend $ 2,000 on a window!), and the best part… was actually able to do the work for me! My rear window was replaced within 4 hours of the time I dropped the car off.
Louis delivered exactly what he promised, and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. They even did the favour of installing my new windshield wipers for me (something that I had been putting off doing myself) I completely trust Enco with my car — they are a reliable and honest business.
