These guys came by our offices yesterday for our Office Building Appreciation event. They set up quick and were raring to go by Noon. They offered Burgers, Hot Dogs and Chicken Breasts. There were vegetarian options too(so don’t fret). There were cold drinks available so we didn’t die in the heat as well. The burgers were good and they had all the fixin’s to make it a great meal. The staff were helpful and courteous to help people collecting their food. I’d definitely eat their food again. Highly recommending the Veggie stuff, even to meat eaters out there.

The property owners at work hosted a BBQ event for all the businesses in the area and guess who got invited y’all? — pretty much everyone. There was no I’d badges checked or anything. Literally, anyone who saw the tents, heard the light jazzy tunes played by the live band, smelt the gigantic BBQ’s with heat sizzling from the top noted the 4 food trucks parked side by side. All the catering from drink to dessert was done by The BBQ Gourmet Company. The service staff weren’t the best but the free food was enough to overlook this tiny detail. The tents were sectioned into divisions of cutlery, bun, meat, condiments, drinks, dessert. The hosting took place from 12−2pm, located at the centre of the left commercial plaza parking lot. They had 2 large tents facing Courtney Park with a more than sufficient number of picnic tables and chairs. It was a nice way for the staff/management of all the businesses around to mingle. It was especially nice to formally introduce myself to the douche bag that keeps taking my parking spot with his shiny daddy-bought BMW. The bread tent had 2 types of buns for hamburgers and hot dogs. The meat tent had staff with silver aluminium trays of meat covered in 3 lines ready to give out Hamburgers, Grilled Chicken, Veal Parmesan, or Hot dog sausages. The condiments was everything minus Mayo. This made me sad. Further along there was 2 coolers freezer-style with lids keeping cool a decent selection of pop & water. The dessert was 5 types of ice cream. Ice cream sandwiches, chocolate Popsicles, white Popsicles, fruit flavoured Popsicles and vanilla cups. The Hamburger was so delicious. This was the most popular. The meat is stacked nicely for the common hungry man/women and juicy enough to taste that charbroiled succulence mixed in with all the ketchup and relish. Yumm. Everyone went back for seconds/thirds. The grilled chicken was very dry. I had it once but didn’t end up finishing it. This was the general consensus. I don’t personally eat pork but there was a mixed feeling about the sausages. I didn’t bother trying the Veal and the few that did opted to get the burger after. The dessert was. well ice cream. A perfect finish while you walk back to the office. The lines went so fast and I never had to wait for anything, which only proved the great administration overall. A well organized rotation of the staff from different tents. I came at 1pm and started eating at 1:09pm. Impressive. The hosting was well done by this catering company. I highly suggest them. I do believe the staff could be a bit nicer. Every single tent had 1 or 2 staff members with permanent stink faces. Otherwise, very well constructed in planning, location, delivery, inventory and quality of food. xoxo M.
