2nd time in a month we get the lowest service and quality @ the Lonsdale location. Slower than snail service and questionable quality, after taking a bite from the burger quickly ended in the trash can. Good luck trying to talking to the workers, a quick shrug of a shoulder and that’s all you got. WILLNEVEREVERRETURNTOTHISJOKEOF A PLACE.

Amazing burgers! Service is always a bit slow but still one of my favorite spots on Lonsdale for a burger and a beer.

What a horrible experience! This is the worst Vera’s location I’ve ever been to! Other locations are soooo much better! Our fries was undercooked, our beer was old and staff has no idea how to poor it. My chicken burger has so little chicken and way too much sauce in it. Please avoid this location and try the close to kits beach. We had to walk to McD after spending $ 40 there.

I was there today with my wife to eat two burgers, fries and a drink, the burger was OK but she forget almost everythings I asked for to add inside my burger. the french fries were very over cooked with a very bitter taste, I told the girl(and Indian looking girl) very politely that the fries are too over cooked with a very bitter taste, she told me that: you are the first guy complaining. meaning that I was lying to her. I asked her to taste the fries, she didn’t want. Is that a customer service? we never come back to this place again. and I will report this girl to her direction so she will never accuse the clients of lying again.

I go the the North Vancouver Vera’s once every few months. I have never had a bad experience. It is always VERY clean in there, the staff is super friendly, and the burgers and fries absolutely delicious. Three times now, I have taken friends with me, and they agreed fully! Keep up the good job!

I had wanted to try this place for awhile. Would walk passed it and see nothing. Just darkness… Once finally inside the shack, was not impressed with the small size and huge prices! Sat down with my friend and we commenced with the pig out. Seated at the window with my back literally pressed up against someone behind me talking about how, «Vegans are crazy for not eating meat». I paid $ 12.00 for a burger I could have made at home for $ 1.60 … The fries were on the extremely blah side and I don’t even think the pop was bottomless! The only good thing about the place was the fact that Vera’s is within walking distance of my place and my friend where my friend and I went that night to have, «dessert». :-) :-) :-)

Put a fork in Vera’s they are done as a company. I’ve enjoyed Vera’s for years, but my last two visits have been awful. They reduced the size of things like their jalapeño bottle caps and the overall quality has plummeted. You look at the North Shore today and you have Mooyah, 5 Guys, and Harvey’s. All three are vastly better and with a much nicer ambience and feel. Nor the 80s crap-hole that all Vera’s look and feel like.

Decent burgers. Definitely better than the fast food places. My nine year old boy and I like to go together once in a while.

Okay burgers but the décor and ambiance sucks. It feels cold and dirty and who wants to sit in a space painted black and bright orange? The game was on and it was LOUD. Gross. Never again.

With new owners and a re-model, Vera’s North Van has really turned around. The food has been consistent, and the service is so much better than before. Now, if someone can just teach the big guy who seems to be the boss what an «inside voice» is, I can bump it up to 5 stars ;)

I’m a huge fan of Vera’s and have been for years. My 2 favourite locations are in Kits and on Davie Street. I now live in North Vancouver and have the unfortunate honor of living near the WORST Vera’s in town. As I can see from other(dissatisfied) patrons, I would have to agree that the staff there is completely incompetent. I think you should find some staff that actually cares about your establishment and the customers. I phoned in the last time(which coincidentally will be the last time at this location) and ordered 2 burgers with only fried onions. The idiot man-child that works there kept asking if I wanted«the usual suspects», which includes about 5 toppings. I explained in plain English that I wanted 2 burgers with only fried onions on both. I didn’t check my order at the restaurant(big mistake) and found about 7 toppings on my burgers when I got home. I called back and spoke to the twit, he said«yeah I know… Everything except fried onions!!! Ooooooooooo FUNKYBOY!!! PS — Vera’s other locations are fantastic; I’ve been to at least 5 others and they’re all superb!!!

I tried it twice. Disappointed. Dry burger, old bun, soggy fries. Oh and staff who just did not seem to care. Also the presentation was very unattractive. Looked like they just tossed everything in a bag shook it up and put it in a basket. I wish I took a picture. Actually that was almost the best part of eating at this location. Laughing at the the horrible presentation…

Hey, it is a burger, and a damn good one! Sorry Moderne Burger, you are out! You can even order online and pick it up at nearest Vera’s location. Awesome when you are planning to pig out at home while watching The Next Three Days with Russel Crowe(good movie btw; missing some six packs from Gladiator, but I’ll forgive him) Burger was juicy and pinkish in the middle, and all the add ons I ordered were there. My bf got the Vera’s burger, and I got the natural beef burger. We also ordered onion rings and sweet potato fries. I don’t even like onion rings, and these were truly something. I love the batter they use. Sweet potato fries were delicious as well. I tried to finish my portion, but I couldn’t since the burgers are quite big. My bf was more than happy to do that for me. Will definitely pig out on those burgers many happy years to come: D

Love the burgers! They’re huge and dripping, a great combo. They have all kinds of juicy gooey combinations. mmm… Shakes are good too. This location is definitely a little shabby though. I recommend take aways. You can call in your order, wait time is over 10 minutes.

Great food! But the washrooms and food could use some work…

This is a place that I was very much looking forward to going. I had heard many a great thing about their burgers. As much as I should not be eating the type they hype, «all the fat, etc» I wanted to give it a try as who does not love a good burger? The experience was sadly a horrible one, simply horrible. * The incompetent person at the cash register had to have the order repeated over and over again until he finally understood. They were out of one of the toppings to boot at one in the afternoon. * The quality of the food, while just as greasy as they advertise, was also very sub par. The meat was under cooked, the buns soggy and overall just unpleasant. * My girlfriend ordered onion rings which she could not even finish as they tasted like soggy, chewy grease. I heard so much about this place and if it had not been such an all encompassing bad visit I may chalk it up to the people who were working there at the time. I have not been to any other location of there’s so this is really strictly for this one only.
