I was treated here for my birthday. The experience was «nice». Maybe I watch too much TV and was expecting the Hollywood Movie Star treatment? haha
Anyway :) I did enjoy my experience here. I had a full body massage and a full facial done.
I couldn’t tell you about the cost because as I mentioned it was a treat for my birthday :)

I’ve been to all locations of Spa Utopia, and this one in particular several times. I love the lounge and snacks, and the relaxed/​not rushed feeling.
However, I had a body treatment (exfoliation/​wrap) which I’ve had quite a few times, and was disappointed in how they had changed the treatment. The exfoliation was extremely brief, and there was no shower afterwards (usually it’s exfoliation, shower, goop, cocoon, shower, moisturize). Instead, the time seemed to be used up with goo after goo after goo on my face — seriously, probably about 10 different goos in total, and this after I’d told them that I really hated anything on my scalp or face! It was a body treatment, so I’m not clear on why there was so much facial emphasis. Disappointed.

I had a lovely experience here with my mother and sister. Friendly, accommodating staff. We all thoroughly enjoyed our massages. Both the RMT and non-​RMT therapists were excellent, some of the best massages of our lives. The atmosphere is calming, and it’s very pleasant to look out across the waterfront. Complimentary snack and beverage options, a fantastic eucalyptus steam room, lots of toiletries to help you get ready to face reality at the end. I suggest arriving very early for your appointment — we gave ourselves 30 mins prior to scheduled massage time, and we really could have used another 15 minutes extra. This isn’t a clinic, so I wouldn’t come here for a quick massage appointment in the middle of a work day. A great experience, and we will be back to do it again another time :)

The atmosphere is great. A nice sitting area to wait for your appointment, a steam bath in the dressing area, complementary tea, snacks, etc. Massage was good, not great and therapist was very professional. Body wrap was very relaxing and products were good. The esthetician was OK, seemed to be just going through the motions.
What made this a less satisfying experience was the check-​in and check-​out process. Checking in I had to wait for about 5 minutes as there was only one person at the front desk. For a high-​end spa this is not appropriate. The front desk staff are not very friendly, especially during check-​out. Being from the States, I’m not familiar with their use of hand-​held credit card devices. After being very relaxed from a couple of treatments it is jarring to be handed this device and then try to figure out how to enter an appropriate tip amount. I asked for, but was not given, the cost for each of the services so that I could do the math. I finally just paid cash for the tip and then the staff person made an comment about the fact that I did not tip 20%. Interesting as I have always understood tipping to be optional and the amount to be determined by the customer, not to mention that their website states that gratuities are at the discretion of the guest.

The spa is very big and has everything you could want in a spa. I think if you plan well and expect a good treatment you will be happy.
Natalia is highly recommend her for facials! She has been in the industry for many years. Tony is my favourite RMT in this spa… You wont be disappointed with these two :)

I had a facial by Natalia and a pedicure and spray tan by Lola. I was super impressed with both ladies… Professional, excellent attention to detail during all my services.
I love coming to Spa Utopia. No other spa I’ve been to can ever compare. Always a treat… Keep up the great work.

I really like this location. I have been here for a massage twice and a facial once. I mostly like it because they have free parking. But the service has been pretty good too. I like the swedish massage the best. I did a hot stone massage once but I didn’t feel like they put enough pressure on my back. My facial was great too, but my therapist was talking to me too much about personal things and spa trips are one of those things I like doing for myself, self-​reflecting and not talking too much.
I see the other reviews are a bit negative. There is a lot of room for improvement, it’s true. But I have been treated well here.

We had a group of 5 go for different massages recently and our feelings were mixed. The 3 that had massages by an RMT really enjoyed them, and the other 2 were just ok. The ladies change room needs better lighting near the mirror for applying makeup. One of the makeup mirrors that lights up seemed to be missing from the wall and the other was a little worse for wear and still didn’t provide enough lighting. I know they offer makeup touch-​ups complimentary so I put on my foundation and then asked the makeup girl if she could apply my eyeshadow only and that I would do eyeliner, mascara on my own. She was quite rude when she said to me that «I can’t do that as we sell makeup application as a service»… and then proceeded to put 2 strokes of eye shadow on me and some powder on my face … I went back to the ladies room and you couldn’t even see the eyeshadow so I had to do it myself anyways.
I fail to see how eyeshadow = a full makeup application. Anyways… to top of a medicore massage with the makeup hassle my experience was not good, and I have no plans to return.

Nice services but needs a reno as looking little old. The washrooms for men are really small also so when others in there really tight.

I have been to this spa 3 times.
I love the hair stylist Andrew green, best hair cut I have ever had, a work of art. I had a hair done by another young lady there because Andrew was booked up and it was the worst hair cut I have ever had, ridiculous layers and my hair was dried out afterwards! So in conclusion I think that this is a great hair salon if you get a cut done by Andrew.
I have also had a massage at this location and many other spas, they have always been just okay. Nothing special just okay. I don’t think that most spas really offer proper massages, they just get any old person to do it unless you ask specifically to have an RMT and even than I have been disappointed. SO I recommend that people go to the spa to get nails, eyebrows, wraps and hair (with the right person). Otherwise Get your massages done somewhere that specializes in massages. I found a place, Northview Massage Therapy Clinic, where that is all they do and wow what a difference.
Overall my experience at spa utopia has been very good some days and not so good others.

I had a hydrotherapy session and it was the most relaxing Sunday I’ve had in a long time.
You begin with a luffa to scrub your whole body. Next a cool green tea seaweed paste is brushed all over your body and you are wrapped up for around 10 minutes. (I’m not quite sure since I fell asleep) Then you step into a hydrotherapy tub with waterjets designed to relax and gently massage your body. After 20 minutes, you receive a wonderful full body massage that lasts for 50 minutes. After the session, my skin was smooth and I felt rejuvenated!
I felt that the front desk staff at Spa Utopia downtown location is a lot more experienced than the North Van location. There was a little mishap and they overlooked some things, but they are lucky my massage therapist did such a good job on me. It melted all my negative thoughts.

If you want to feel like a princess, go here! I’ve seen Agnes a few times, and she is excellent! She gives great advice, and awesome head massages! seriously. If you want to pamper yourself, by being surrounded by fountains, peaceful music, good customer service, and relaxation, than this is the place. No question– I will not go anywhere else now, after experiencing this! PURE BLISS.

Unfortunately, this spa is very average. It was too crowded. I watched a lady stand akwardly texting because she could not find a seat in the over-​crowded lounge area before her treatment. Two staff who «treated» me had inappropriate, bordering on offensive, conversations with me.
I wouldn’t go back. And for a supposedly high-​end spa, they fall below average.

I have been going to Spa Utopia North Vancouver for years.
The staff are great, always welcoming, the massage department rocks. My personal favorite RMT massage therapist is Tony. Always pleasant, a great massage AND he cares.
There is free parking which is important to me, and the lounge area comfortable.
I don’t go anywhere else when I am in Vancouver.

It was our 20^th month anniversary and I decided that we should pamper ourselves. My previous company had bought me a Gift Card to Spa Utopia since they knew how much I love massages. After a week of go-​go-​go, I decided it would be the perfect time to splurge and thought that it would be a great idea to spoil the bf to his first spa treatment. I didn’t tell him at first where I needed to go. All I said was that I needed to do some shopping in North Vancouver (I didn’t choose the one in Vancouver because it would be pay-​parking and I thought that it would be an awesome treat to try that new Pinkberry place in NV afterwards).
When I gave my bf the directions of how to get to this place, he was confused. Anyway, when we finally got to the destination, he asked «Why are we here at Spa Utopia?» And I said, «Surprise! Happy 20^th Anni!»
We walked in and the people greeted us asking us to fill out application forms. The lady gave us a quick tour of the lounge (fruits, snacks, chairs, etc.) and showed us the locker room (for ladies). When I tried to look for the jacuzzi and asked for it, I found out that there wasn’t one… only a steam room which I had expected more. So I changed and headed outside to the lounge.
I liked the rooibos tea with apple juice, lemon wedge and a mint. This drink was in a champagne class… I liked it very much. The snacks were great as well.
I booked 75-​minute full body swedish massage for the both of us to be in the same room… I also made sure it was an RMT so hoping that it would be really good. However, that wasn’t the case. The lady asked me what she should focus on and I said shoulders, neck and lower back. I informed her 3 – 4 times to apply more pressure because I could take it and technically, I couldn’t feel a thing she was doing. All she did was applied lotion to my entire body without really massaging it. After several reminders about the pressure, I gave up. The bf told me that the guy he had wasn’t that great. He didn’t ask for feedback of the pressure or said anything. Lame.
All I have to say is that the spa treatments here are incomparable to the ones in Vegas. When you get a full body swedish massage in Vegas, they’ll give one… and it’s like a deep tissue massage too. Vegas takes this seriously and for the price I had to pay here and not get a jacuzzi and all the other good stuff, well… that just means that I won’t waste my time on a treatment here in Van again. I’m sorry Vancouver, but Vegas seems to have my heart when it comes to getting a massage.

I was exspect to have a good massage but it’s just OK. I booked for hot stone massage, it’s relaxxing and the girl she was very nice and good service, but her massage wasn’t deep enough for me. after my treatment I come the louge and have some tea and snack, fruit that was very nice, I am enjoyed that.

My boyfriend and I decided to give this location a try. Compared to the downtown location, the north van location has a smaller lounge and changeroom area. They have two showers, changing stalls and washroom in changeroom. The treatment rooms are spacious and the massuses are professional. Spa utopia is situated right next to the northshore auto mall and it’s not hard to find. Maybe it’s the size of the spa or the fact the spa is inside an office building, but we both decide we prefer the downtown location.

Came here in February with my boyfriend for a couples massage for Valentines day. It’s a very nice spa, the view of the harbour side is amazing especially at night. They have a big lobby area with comfortable chairs and couches. As always, there’s complementary snacks and tea, washrooms are spacious with lockers, steam room, shower, and all the necessities you need (qtips, hair dryer, curling iron, mouth wash, contact lenses solution etc…) which is a plus. The massage itself was nice, we had a 50min RMT. The massage therapists were very friendly and nice. Overall, it was nice and relaxing.
If you’re looking for a nice relaxing day at the spa, this is the place to go.
