Payless Auto Towing

I’m always nervous when I have to call a tow truck. It’s a very vulnerable position and there are many unsavory outfits looking to exploit the opportunity. I was delighted with the service I received from Payless. Nav was friendly, professional and went the extra mile to make sure that my car got out of the snowdrift and back down the mountain unscathed. Billing was fair, estimate was accurate and I would not hesitate to call them again if need be.

We were on a camping trip with friends at Whistler, but we didn’t make it the whole way — their truck seriously died, close to our destination. The big question all week was how we were going to get back to Oregon with the dead truck and trailer and all 5 of us. The guys at Payless had a truck big enough for all 5 of us to ride in the cab. They picked up our friend’s truck in Squamish, came to Whistler RV Park to get us and the trailer, and Alberto drove us all the way home to Eugene, Oregon! Our friend is super picky about how his stuff is treated, but he had no complaints with Alberto. He was a good driver, fun to talk with, good-​spirited, and he put in a really long day, by the time he got them all unloaded in Cottage Grove on their out-​of-​the-​way farm. I can’t say enough good things about these guys.

They did a great job! Norman the tow truck operator was friendly, helpful and did things correctly and efficiently! Cost $ 75 for hook up and $ 2.50 per km. I wood use them again, but hoping I never have to! ;-)

Although I was told they would dispatch someone in 20 minutes and it took 2.5 hours, our tow driver Bobby was awesome. I was distraught after I bought a used car and less than 24 hours later the car broke down on the highway to Squamish. Bobby made us laugh, gave some advice to deal with the repairs of the car and the dealership I bought it from and was all around a great guy. The 5 stars I’m giving is for Bobby — the response time I was less than impressed with though (although I think this is kind of the norm for towing, unsure, first time I’ve ever had a car leave me stranded at the side of the road).

A customer of ours needed specialised help and we were referred to Payless. Sid, the dispatcher and Chris, the driver provided service second to none. Sid knew what we were looking for and Chris knew how to make it happen. Thank you Sid and Chris and Payless for assisting us in providing the level of assistance and service our customers have come to expect from us.
