Just tried this place tonight. I ordered the Greek«Chicken Souvlaki dinner» And my husband order the«tandoori chicken» pizza. The Greek was very nice. The pizza, however. Not so much… I would definitely recommend the Greek, maybe not the pizza, or that particular pizza.

Pizza is meh here. The lamb is good. The lasagna is alright. The service I received from the lady here was so rude. I picked up food to go and paid with debit. I pressed the wrong button and asked her politely to redo it and she got so pissed. Said it cost her like ten cents to redo. I was shocked with her attitude; never have I experienced such a bitter person over an honest mistake. I almost walked out. My $ 30+ order must not have been worth the 10 cents or more she lost. Avoid avoid avoid the lady here.

I have never ordered anything but the pizza here. It’s always hot, toppings are plenty and fresh, crust not too doughy. Ready when they say it will be. We’ve tried ordering from Little Caesar’s, Domino’s, Panago, Fresh Slice and I don’t like any of those pizzas but my teenagers will eat anything that even looks like pizza(they like Fresh Slice, cuz it’s cheap). We’ve tried Nektar’s meaty, greek, and lots of others, all are good. My standby is vegetarian, $ 22.00 for a large. it’s a once a week guilty pleasure, washed down with an ice cold glass of organic milk. Just ordered one 2 minutes ago. When I call and place the order sometimes they’re a little gruff on the phone –maybe cuz they’re busy, but they’re pleasant and efficient when I go pick up my order. Keep up the good work Nektar’s, nice to have a very decent pizza place in the hood. Maybe one day I’ll deviate and actually order something besides pizza…

Tried this tonight because we love Greek food, and this place is so convenient. It was mediocre at best. I had the roast lamb, and I found it quite bland. My Greek salad was flavorless. My hubby had the pizza, which he thought was OK, but nothing amazing. Overall, I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

This place is unbelievably good. The awesome roast lamb goes so well with the baked potato rice pilaf, feta-cucumber salad, tztatziki, and pita. The pizzas are good too. The crust is tasty good. Prompt, friendly and efficient service. Worth the drive to pick up if you’re staying in the area.

A little secret hidden gem in North Vancouver. Though not for the obvious dish. Nektar’s has a Roast Lamb dinner that few greek restaurants in Vancouver can match. More surprising is the fact that they deliver this hearty delight right to your door(In the Deep Cove — Mt Seymour area) What really sets this particular Roast Lamb apart from the rest is perhaps the spiced Tomato sauce that abundantly saturates the meat. When you cut through it the juiciness of the lamb is well complimented with a delicious tomato-garlic infusion. If you’re a fan of Lamb; I highly recommend them!

I have heard so many wonderful things about this place from people who live nearby and have been patrons for years. I have enjoyed many meals recently there, a great treat for a yummy lunch. Take it to the beach or park nearby. The father can be blunt but he will deliver a great meal, other staff have always been pleasant. Food is yummy, I’ve had the saucy pizzas and the souvlaki, take note, they sometimes run out of roast lamb as it is so popular.

OK, seriously, where the hell did you guys come from? Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Finally, an old school pizza joint that serves a pizza with that old world taste. Does anyone remember the way pizza tasted before the big pizza giants(Dominos, Panago, Little Cesars, Fresh Slice etc) ruined the entire pizza industry by offering their crap as gourmet? Nektar’s is different. It’s like my little secret. I travel from East Van to Deep Cove for this craving. The taste, the textures… my god. Even, the atmosphere is interesting… father and son speaking loudly and with attitude to each other while creating the best creations… it’s a breath of fresh air from all the uptight rules and regulations in place else where. It’s lively in that old school way! It seems that the old man in the kitchen must have taught his son everything. His son told me that the old man has been making Pizza in Vancouver for over 30 years in some of Vancouver’s original pizzerias. No wonder. We have been inundated with the crap«corporate» pizza joints in Vancouver that use fake cheese, cheap meats and dehydrated vegetables in the name of «saving a buck.» Then, the sheep of vancouver vote those corporate giants as the best pizza in town. Pure garbage! Well…if you want real cheese, real meat, real taste, real passion, real pizza, real European attitude… Nektar’s is the ONLY joint that still has that pizza taste and feel of yesteryear. One last time… WOW!
