Not a place I will go again. The menu states that pints are 20 oz and then the beer you get is around 15 – 16 oz. The service is so slow as they just had one waitress at lunch. I ordered fish & chips. The fish was the processed square. They have changed their name to The two Lions.

I feel like the people who reviewed this previously don’t realise this is a bar and approach it as such. also, ordering spicy wings and then complaining about the fact they were too spicy may be one of those most absurd things I’ve ever read in a review. I don’t know a single person who eats there regularly(though i will say their Grilled Veggie Wraps are SOGOOD. MYGOD) as THISIS A BAR. this is the only place worth being in North Van, especially on Thursdays through Saturday at midnight. it’s always packed with an amazing crowd and on thursdays, the karaōke is in full swing with pretty young things belting out power ballads and greying older men feeling their way through slow jams. it’s a hilarious, eclectic crowd, ready to sling backup vocals, buy you a round or offer you a smoke outside. this is a bar. it’s empty during the day for a reason, though they do have some great menu items, as well as the bad like every establishment. the waitresses are lovely, as are the bartenders. it can be a slow build on the main nights, which can mean it’s absolutely dead until 12AM. if you don’t come in and create your own fun, it can be hit or miss. solid place with a better nightlife atmosphere than a lot of places down town.

I ended up here with a friend about a week ago for lunch. It was pretty dead inside… or maybe it seemed really dead because the place is fairly big and it was a Monday. Anyways, we were seated immediately and had a very attentive and personable server. She listed off all the specials for us and disappeared into the back to bring us our drinks. My friend ordered the Irish Stew and I went with the Baked Veggie Wrap. He reported that the stew tasted okay. Apparently there was kind of an odd flavour to it(like, NOT an Irish flavour) and he could tell it was just microwaved and probably cooked the night before. He finished it in about 3 seconds because it was mostly gravy. It had a few potatoes and meat chunks and some peas and carrots. He is a pretty big guy though, so maybe the amount would have been good for a tiny person. My baked veggie wrap was awesome until I got to the middle… where it was ice cold. It had rice, cheese, artichokes, pesto, spinach, salsa and it was wrapped in a tomato tortilla! Not a huge problem though, I waved our server over and she took it back for a few extra minutes in the oven. Once it was piping hot I gobbled it down. Mmm! The fries were nice and crispy and seasoned too. I was stuffed! I’d come back, but I’m never in the area. so, maybe?

I’ve only been here a couple times after recently moving into the Delbrook neighbourhood, once for dinner and once for lunch. The food is overall quite good and the menu is decent, stocked with all your standard pub fare. It’s quite dark inside but the patio is large and luckily, when we ate outside for lunch there wasn’t anyone out there smoking(I would have a different opinion on the patio if that wasn’t the case). I’ve never gone with the intention of a night out, only for a meal, but whenever I drive past on a Friday or Saturday night the parking lot is packed. I’m guessing the place has its regulars, though I don’t know that I’d ever fall into that category. For me, not bad if I want a no-frills meal close to home and don’t feel like heading down the mountain.

This is an inexpensive bar/pub with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu doesn’t hold any surprises, but it’s got your basics covered. Hamburgers, Fries, some pasta dishes, a few good sammies, wings and french onion soup. Nothing outstanding but it’s a good sized space and I imagine it gets a fun crowd. Sorry to report though, that it is kind of old and dusty and could use a pretty good going over by a meticulous helper. also the bathroom was a bit gross.

This virtually unknown place(to all non-North Shore residents) has a lot going on. Depending on the night you might find intoxicated karaōke singing, a big sports game, lots of action at the snooker table, or live music. I don’t consider this to be a restaurant, though they do have a lengthy menu. My experience with the food has not passed the appies. I’ve tried some very greasy onion rings(pretty good) and goat cheese. The beer selection is decent, and is priced about a loonie cheaper than what you’d pay on Granville. Wine and full bar also available.
