Doodlebug Studio is located in the Lynn Valley neighborhood of North Vancouver. Doodlebug offers weekly art classes for children during the school year, birthday parties, and special workshops in the summer. Studio Owner and Art Teacher, Jeri Engen, has been teaching art classes to young people for over 12 years and is passionate about introducing children to the joys of artistic expression. The classes offer an opportunity for children ages 4 – 13 to learn a variety of hard and soft skills. They will explore traditional drawing, painting, and compositional skills, sculpture, printmaking, textile arts, mixed media, collage and much more.

History

Established in 2013.

Jeri Engen, studio owner and art teacher, has been working with children in the fine arts for over 12 years. First through Hollywood Hill Elementary in Woodinville, Washington where she was in charge of the Art Docent program, founded and ran the Artist in Residence program and the Afterschool Arts Program. Since moving to Vancouver, she has been teaching camps through North Vancouver Community Arts Council and through the youth outreach program at Seymour Art Gallery in Deep Cove.
