Convenient location by the Tilford plaza when I’m on my way to hockey at Canlan Sports. It’s a bit wider than other locations and one of the rare ones that do deliver, compared to their food court locales. It’s good service here, and no problems asking to warm up your slice extra hot. they deliver evenings 7 days a week.

Ok. So I get Saturday night. I get hockey night too. I don’t get two hours before my pizza shows up without a discount. Sorry non-supervisor dude. You get nothing from me. I was looking forward to pizza but hey, c’mon, grab them and make them your own!

I like coming here because they have a $ 9.99 medium pepperoni or cheese take away deal. Staff are friendly and pizza tastes good too. One downside is the prices for some of their pizzas.

I tried to order and pay online but there is no ‘secure’ feature that makes it safe to give your credit card number. I proceeded to order then pay upon pick up. As I still remain gluten free, I was delighted that Flying Wedge offers an egg-less gluten-free crust. The Tuscana pizza had rich vegetable toppings like sundried tomatoes, zucchini, olives and rich sauce. Online, I requested to skip the cheese to make it truly vegan. I ordered a Chicken Pesto pizza on normal crust for my sister and our friend. The website has a feature that allows you to check off what other toppings to add or what current toppings to leave off. That is a good efficient communication feature! A worker called us to clarify our order which I was glad she did to avoid any confusion and misunderstandings. We later picked them up. In the order were our free dipping sauces as well. The gluten-free crust is surprisingly tasty; I did not feel like I was eating styrofoam! It had a great flavor and excellent texture. The toppings were delicious too. My sister and our friend were very pleased with their chicken pesto pizza. What Flying Wedge really needs to do is to fix the site so that it is secure and safe to punch in our credit card numbers to order our stuff AND add a description of the dipping sauces(indicating which ones are vegan would be nice). Go ahead and order from online… but pay at the store instead of over the internet until they add that security feature!

I like this place. Their pizza was good and delicious, the portions are large as well. One thing I didn’t like about this place is the prices. It costs about $ 3-$ 5 just for a single slice of pizza. Seriously, an extra large pizza from anywhere is about roughly $ 25 or less even after tax. I mean, this place’s pizza is damn good but not good enough for me to want to spend around $ 3 to $ 5 just for a damn slice. And when I went there not too long ago, I just spent about $ 11.35 or so for 2 slices and a soda. It was good but I’d much rather go to Fresh Slice to get their 2 slice + a small drink combo that only costs $ 4.47 + tax because their pizza tastes pretty decent too and their pizza size is almost the same as theirs too. The other thing I didn’t like about their pizza is that their slices felt kinda thick. Sure, it’s better for it to be big considering we’re paying top dollars for pizza but I much rather have my pizza to be slightly thinner than theirs. Bottom line is this place has pretty tasty pizza but don’t expect the best quality pizza and you better bring more than $ 10 if you want to have more than 1 slice.

The only reason I am giving this review 2 stars is because the pizza was delicious(sort of). Ordered 2 pizzas last night at 8:47 and was told the pizza would be delivered between 30 – 45 minutes. I live 1.1 km away from flying wedge… an hour and 10 mins later at 9:57 I call to ask where my pizza order was… get a call back a few minutes later saying that the driver’s GPS was completely messed up and that he was now on his way. The girl on the phone expressed her sincere apologies and offered me a free 2 litre pop on my next order. REALLY?! GEETHANKS. If I wasn’t so damn hungry I would have cancelled the order. The pizza arrived just under an hour and a half after the order was placed… the pizza was barely warm and within our 3rd slice was cold. $ 32 later… 2 cold pizzas and a half ass apology. Money well spent??? I think not. I will make a point of saying that the pizzas were delicious, but the thought of knowing that had they been hot and delivered at an appropriate time they would have been 100X tastier left a really bitter taste in my mouth. PS. A delivery driver should not rely on GPS to find a location that is less than a 4 minute drive away. Absurd.

Con — I paid $ 3.14 for one slice. Pro — That slice was big. And so very, very tasty. Even the crust was amazing, and I think that’s rare in Vancouver. AND it was from the last pizza of the night, so I didn’t even get to choose what I wanted. I got the Tropical Pig, no almonds. Service was also a plus, the girls working here were very nice. I’ve only been once, so look for an update from me, because I’ll be visiting again to be sure that this pizza consistently rocks.

Flying Wedge Pizza is not what it used to be! The pizza is overrated and over priced. The staff at this location are not as polite as they should be, but what do you expect from a pizza joint! I find the pizza much too greasy, but the dips are pretty good. It’s o.k. for quick lunch at work, but unfortunately this is the only pizza joint(by the slice) in the area.
