The firm can assist the business owner in the planning for income taxes on an ongoing basis right thru to the planning of Estates to minimize taxes of various kinds. We prepare the financial statements for the lending institutions based on their loan requirements and assist in ensuring the client is within the banking covenants. The firm’s clients include incorporated and unincorporated doctors, realtors, lawyers, engineers, architects, construction companies, real estate investors as general corporate clients in manufacturing, retail and repairs. We also deal with non-​residents in need of clearance certificates on the sale of property in Canada.

Established in 1981.

Brian Dougherty BComm. C.A. left a large international accounting firm to start his own practice in North Vancouver on February 1 1981 where it has grown over the years to be 10 plus people providing a variety of accounting and income tax services.

Business Owner

Brian Dougherty got his Bachelor of Commerce from UBC in 1976 and his C.A. in 1978. He has been involved in teaching tax and accounting for the Institute of Chartered Accountants for 10 years, as well as UBC, SFU, Capilano and BCIT. He is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and has business connections with various specialized tax and advisory firms in both Canada and US.
