History

Established in 1953.

Polar Studio was started in 1953 by Noël Tremblay. In 1978 his daughter Anne took over the studio and ran it until 2009 in out of a century home on Fisher St. in North Bay. In 2009 Brian, another second generation photographer stepped into as the main photographer and moved the studio to a new location, 191 Lakeshore Drive where we have a new much larger studio space.

I am Brian Tremblay, a second generation photographer who started young. It was my father that planted the seed of interest in photography by getting me to help him with his photography classes. he would give me his class’ projects a week early so I could complete them as the project example. A lifetime later it seems that I still have a burning desire to complete any project that is brought to me and do it to the highest standard I can.

​The thing that I have found over the years is that each and every photographic assignment has it’s own special requirement, special timing and a required product, your portrait. With my years of experiance and training, I have the knowledge and tools to complete your photographic project
