This place was awesome! I love my sushi nice and fresh and this place was A+. A friend brought me here for lunch. It was packed! I’ve never seen a sushi place so packed for lunch. I highly recommend you made a reservation! We got lucky and grabbed a couple seats at the long high table. First off, you order on an iPad. You can scroll through the(AYCE!) menu and just order whatever you please. A server will stop by and approve your order and next thing you know you have all kinds of awesome food come to your table. While I stuck with sushi, my friend ordered noodle dishes and more! This place has it all. I especially enjoyed(and recommend) everything I ordered: The California Roll, Avocado Salmon Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, Mango Salmon and Mango Shrimp Rolls! Everything was fresh and flavorful. My friend also had a seaweed salad, a noodle/chicken dish, calamari, beef teriyaki, and we both shared wontons! It was all great and everything came out quickly(and scattered — so be sure to order multiple items at a time). Long story short, if you like sushi — COMEHERE! Just make a reservation first, if you have time. :)

Best. Sushi. Buffet. Ever. I went for dinner around 5 pm. Immediately a waitress came and sat me down. I was given an ipad to order from, in which she explained the process very throughly. The options on the menu were just endless. I have never seen so much to order from. With that being said, you would assume it’ll take a while or the quality would suffer. NOPE. Everything was so fresh and nicely prepared. Sashimi cuts were thick. The fish to rice ratio was perfect. The appetizers and entrees were nicely portioned and well seasoned. Recommend the Thai mussels and beef ribs. They did not skimp out on anything. I will definitely be going back.

RESERVATIONS A MUST! This place is busyyyyy! Located just outside all the casino’s and American themed restaurants lies Wind sushi. It’s located on an unassuming road and parking is small so come prepared. The interior is your usual modern with dark brown woodsy tones, but really, you come here for the food and I guess niche-y concept of ordering on an ipad. We were a group of 20 so we got the back room, and despite our large group, service was great. Plates promptly cleared and water filled when asked. The food is varied and really you have the whole gamut of Japanese food items: sushi, fried things, fish, meats, noodles, rice, desserts, appetizers, etc… Here, you place your order and your waiter comes before submitting. Then you just wait and eat! Becareful as overeating is highly likely. I hate wasting food so try and order less than you think, because more often than not, you will get full fast. Prices are reasonable and it’s a great group place. I would recommend Wind Sushi for alternative cuisine from the immediate Casino complexes. Relatively cheap and cheerful.

Best AYCE sushi place I’ve ever been to. Service was phenomenal, and food was out of this world of this world. I’ve been to about 15 different ones around Ontario and go out once a week or two weeks. The service was friendly, and food came out really quick. Can’t wait to go back here

Worst sushi place I have ever been to and I will never be coming back. Everything was flavorless and tasted the same, I almost thought I was at a truck stop(other than the décor) I had ordered a deep fried banana and had to pay an extra dollar(no problem) other than the fact that the banana wasn’t properly deep fried and it was hard(like a green banana) The staff wasn’t the greatest either. They looked unhappy. I have heard good things about this place, but my experience was bad. I will not be coming back, not even for water.

My boyfriend had suggested going here since we stayed at the days inn right across the street. I was a little hesitant considering the outside looked a little run down. I’m so glad we decided to try it out because it was gorgeous inside. I felt like I was dining at a 5 star restaurant. Then the waitress brought out the tablets which I thought was a neat way to order your food. The tablets made the idea of a buffet seem a bit classier. I thought the price was great for the amount of food we ate. I am going to make sure this is a pit stop now every time I visit the falls.

Came here for dinner this time to try their sashimi. and again, another wonderful experience! The wait was pretty ridiculous around 8pm on a Saturday, it was about 40 minutes. But after we got seated, our server was really friendly and really funny, I think her name was Stacey? Most important discovery during this second visit was FRIEDMARSBAR!!! It was insanely good. Hint hint, they go well with some ice cream :) PS. Wind raised their price by $ 2, but it’s still worth it!

Monday dinner: wait 1 minute while they cleared the table. Great concept where you order from an iPad. Items get added to a cart. Then you press a button to submit, at which point your server comes over to confirm it. Drinks are also available from the menu. Service was fast. Ambiance: average. Great to be able to spread out over 2 tables. They don’t offer the full range of fish but there is ample selection. No raw shrimp, Uni, yellow tail, yellow for tuna. Overall sashimi is good. Red Snapper a little chewy. White tuna sashimi: rubbery and not appetizing. Salmon and salmon tataki: delicious. Calamari: a little chewy but nicely grilled. Pan fried Chilean seabass: nicely grilled. Will order again. Unagi: great. Spicy scallop: mild and not spicy. Grilled beef short ribs: great taste but would have preferred this a little more charred. Deep fried tofu: lacks the finesse of traditional Agedashi in that it’s too heavily and unevenly breaded. Grilled eggplant and mushrooms: excellent. Seafood sunomono: seaweed, cucumber sticks, crab stick, one shrimp and one surf clams: ok. I didn’t find this as interesting as I’d hoped. Shrimp tempura: good. Green tea ice cream was creamy with occasional bits of ice. Crème Brule: good but could be a little sweeter. All in all a very good experience with excellent service.

My husband and I visited Wind Sushi for my birthday after reading the good Unilocal reviews. We came in right after they opened on a Friday lunch before the lunch crowd came in. Our server, Jason, was more than wonderful throughout our lunch. He guided us through the iPad ordering process, which my husband loves the iPad ordering interface! The food was good and the services was on point! The sashimi fish was fresh and hand rolls were definitely very delicious. To make it even better — –they gave me a complimentary cheesecake bite with Happy Birthday written on the plate :)

Came here on Halloween night. This place is bumping! So awesome in so many ways. I’ve been to over 25 Japanese restaurants and this is one of my favorites for sure. It was very busy when we came in but we were shortly seated. The staff were so great, always around to make sure there isn’t empty plates or garbage on your table — extremely accommodating staff and very friendly. Not to mention the great food all the options on their menu, something that is rare. Next time I’m in Niagara I’ll definitely be back here for more.

I went to this place from a friend’s recommendation when we visited Niagara Falls this weekend. Definitely not to miss! Could I say it was the best meal we had during our time there… because it really was! After all the chained restaurant and even the food selections at the Galleria, this is like… OMGNOMNOM good! The food: I love the concept that the items picked comes out in small portions so you can try everything and if you liked a dish, you can always order more! Both menus, Japanese & Thai, were both very good in selections and taste. Not sure if we got lucky and picked all the right stuff because we cleaned everything… and of course, ordered more of the dishes that we really enjoyed and couldn’t get enough of! The dessert menu was pretty good too and the waitress even suggested some that she liked herself! Speaking of waitress… The service: Our waitress was LuLu and she’s an excellent!(thank you again LuLu!) Extremely friendly and attentive which makes the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. After realizing it was our first time there, she went thru how Wind Sushi works and even told us to just pick anything on the menu that looks interesting and if we don’t like it, no sweat, she will be happily take it away for us. We did not utilized her offer because everything was really delicious! We ordered about 25 different item and it was all very good… and that says a lot. However some of the food runners were a bit«rough» when they placed our orders at our table but it’s a busy restaurant and there’s lots of hangry ppl to feed so it’s understandable. Access: If you drove, great… let your GPS guide you. We did not rent a car and just used public transportation. We reached Wind Sushi via the Red Line on WeGo bus using the pass that makes stops on Lundy’s Lane. We got off about 2 stops after Dorchester Road stop(forgot the street name) and walked like 2 mins to the venue. You probably can get off at Dorchester Road or the stop after but we didn’t know where to get off exactly since the map does not list all the stops it makes in between that was printed but don’t worry, just keep your eyes peeled for 7421 Lundy’s Lane and hit the«stop request» button once you spot the restaurant. Tip: the bus to go back to the touristy area is right in front of the Days Inn across the street where you will see a sign for a bus stop(it does not say WeGo bus stop but it will stop for you.) Better to make reservations; we didn’t but did not have to wait long for a party of 3 on a Monday night dinner around 7pm!

I am so glad that they use iPads to take orders. It makes the buffet experience extremely convenient and efficient. The food is all fresh, and delicious. I’m especially a fan of their generous portions of salmon sashimi, and beef enoki. I would also recommend their princess roll(huge fan of mango), and crème brûlée. If you go between Monday-Thursday, fried ice cream is also on the buffet menu! I plan on going back in the future. P.S. I came back to the restaurant on a weekend. I’ve noticed that the food and service is much better on weekdays. The salmon tasted different, and servers were not as attentive and friendly.

I loved this place! The servings are small enough that you can try a variety of things! Sushi was good quality. Definitely not compromised despite it being an all you can eat place. I also enjoyed the appetizers and DESSERTS! fried mars bar! Oh yes. Also cool that you get an iPad to keep ordering food. They serve it pretty quickly, I barely had to wait.

First of all I want to say if you are a huge fan of lots of food for decent price then this is your place, especially for lunch(11:30 am– 4 pm) at $ 15.99 you can’t go wrong. I have been there three times and I have loved it. Today I wanted to treat my husband and mother in law and gosh I was super pleased that I took them. We we’re greeted right away and we ate at the bar area which I found comfier and roomier than the actual tables plus you are next to the kitchen so you will be served faster too! I love that they are so pro and you can order from an iPad and that you can actually see the picture of every item as then you are not guessing on what you will be getting. They are also eager to explain what I couldn’t fully understand or even make adjustments to some of their items(ex. Not spicy, more of an ingredient, etc.) Considering and comparing to other AYCE buffet I have gone too their sushi rolls are pretty epic and have more variety than other places I have been to for lunch. Also don’t be shy to try things you wouldn’t normally try(like seaweed salad) as let me tell you this is now my favourite! I also love that their pop is only $ 2 bucks and refillable, also their iced tea which my mother in law loves and not always refillable but here it is and they have Perrier which my hubby is a big fan of so for drinks was awesome too! I love that all their food comes super hot and they are always asking if you are okay or need extra condiments and such. Therefore they earned a good tip! As far as desserts I hate they don’t have chocolate ice cream as I love it but please try mango, green tea and coconut ice cream. Especially pleased that the coconut ice cream has actually coconut shredded in it yum! Also please please please go when you are starving to take advantage and try ALLTHEIRAMAZINGFOOD and also try their great Thai food!

I write this as I am waiting for dessert, but WOW! This place had me in heaven, and making noises that I would normally only make in private it was just that amazing! To start off we weren’t sure it would be a place for my boyfriend to eat at, he’s a non seafood eating fella. But I was craving sushi, and man oh man was it good! Our hot items arrived piping hot, so hot that I actually burned my tongue and so did my boyfriend! They have great Thai dishes, the curries are deliciously pronounced with coconut milk and just the right amount of spice. But what blew us away were the Thai chicken skewers with peanut sauce, my goodness gracious! It’s to die for! The sushi is top notch fresh! The knife work my goodness the salmon was just thick enough to give you a bite, the octopus wasn’t over poached, and the red snapper was just thin enough to saturate with soy sauce and a dollop of wasabi! Yes!!! Real wasabi! None of that super spicy horseradish wasabi mix!!! ANDTHEIRWHITETUNA!!! It actual white tuna!!! None of this white fish crap they normally serve in Toronto. I would do the 1.5hr drive just to eat here again! Oh!!! I almost forgot the pan fried sea bass!!! OMG! I’m sorry there are no photos because I was too hungry to take some!!! And the desserts!!! Get the fried ice cream!!! And thank me later… Desserts here!

This was literally the best meal I’ve ever had. My friend and I happened to stumble upon it randomly on the street during our stay in Niagara Falls. The wait was a little long, but the service was excellent and the lady seated us as soon as possible. We didn’t even know that it was all you can eat until we got there(no wifi, couldn’t Unilocal!). The actual place is really high-tech. You use an iPad to order the food and the service is prompt. The food came out within 10 minutes, which is incredible because it was actually fresh. The food was beyond amazing. We had two pad thai dishes(highly recommend the sweet and sour dish) and a variety of sushi. The Princess of Fish signature roll is divine. Overall, this restaurant is as good as it gets — a must go!!!

I have been to Wind’s new location on Lundy’s Lane twice now. Once with a large group of 7 people and once with my boyfriend. The one great thing I need to mention about Wind is the service! Very kind, attentive and fast server whether it was in a large or small group. Whether constantly asking our server for tea refills, to put in our order or to give us more spicy mayo, the server always did so promptly with a smile. This was something I always found lacking at other AYCE sushi places. Glad to say this is something that makes Wind stand out. The quality of sushi and small dishes for an AYCE sushi place is pretty great. They even present their dishes nicely on a bed of lettuce or another embellishment. Great selection of dishes, desserts, sushi, sasami, just everything! The second time I went, I was worried we would be charged for the few leftover pieces that we couldn’t manage to finish. No problem with that. Definitely recommend Wind to avid sushi eaters.

Meh, I’ve had better. I was super excited to try this place based on all the great reviews and unfortunately it was a bit of a disappointment. Here’s what they do right: + Really nice atmosphere with fantastic space for groups + Enthusiastic and helpful wait-staff + Cool ordering process Here’s what could be better: — Pricing. First of all, not to nitpick but it’s a huge pet-peeve of mine to have to pay for fountain soda at an AYCE, especially when the tea is free and requires more frequent refills. Seriously — fountain sodas literally cost pennies per glass, tea is more expensive. On top of that, it’s just an insult to add a $ 2.00 charge to an over $ 25AYCE meal. I could almost see charging for it at lunch time, but com’on… really? Which brings me to point two on pricing. This is by no way, shape, or form an over $ 25 menu. Sorry. Quality aside, the offerings are low food-cost items. I’ve been to many, many AYCE Sushi spots between Vancouver, Toronto, and here and have never before thought the higher dinner price unjustified. Here though, it is. Dinner for one with a cola to drink was $ 31.63BEFORE tip. — Quality. Presentation is fine but taste-wise… just meh. Nothing special. Even the«special» items aren’t special. And some of them sound and look really good on the menu! Not that anything I tried was bad… don’t get me wrong… it’s just that nothing made me think, «Right on — this is what I’m coming back for!». — Music. I don’t know what they normally play but the non-stop Christmas overload/overdose had me questioning if continuing my meal was worth it.(This could have been compounded by the fact that I already wasn’t overly impressed by the food.) Please, it’s not a shopping center it’s a sit-down restaurant… a little of the jolly stuff is alright mixed in with«regular» music but the non-stop looping… no. Just no. Bottom line… it’s a nice enough place with food that’s fine and their lunch pricing is reasonable. I would come back if with friends for lunch. Not for dinner. And not at anytime by myself. It just didn’t «wow» me. But overall, it’s alright.

Awesome Japanese & Thai buffet. Fast service. You order from a iPad(really cool), server comes over and validate it, food comes right away! A lot of varieties. Love deep fried ice cream!!! They only serve it Monday-Thursday!!! Decently priced, great atmosphere. RECOMMAND!!!
