Great food at a reasonable prices!!! We went to Montana’s the night before and paid almost double for ½ the portions and service we got here. Would definitely recommend this place. Great Job!

Great place to go for their weekly specials if you’re close to the border! We usually go when they have their pint&burger for $ 10(loonies) special. Burgers have been consistent, decided to try poutine for the first time as well as their loaded meat pizza! Was not disappointed! Definitely a fan of poutine now! Consistently good food and service for decent prices!

What a great place. We discovered this place and what a marvelous find. Local beer and live music on the Sunday night and so we came back to have wings on Wednesday.

Went there for lunch. We had the mussels, a burger and beer. All 3 where very good, the waitress was also very pleasant. Definitely give this place a try if you’d like to skip the tourist traps.

This place was just fine. The cider was good but the burgers and ribs were overlooked and dry. The service was good. Probably wouldn’t go back. The setting is kind of cool, in a converted warehouse/garage. Poutine was fine, nothing to write home about.

You must try the nachos at Taps! They are so good. You have to eat them quick or the chili makes the chips soggy. They are so tasty you should have no problem doing that lol

Best $ 10 pint and pulled pork sandwich in Niagara Falls! Unbelievable value with large portions and they have a wide variety of poutines and brews. Mmmm

During our stay at Great Wolf Lodge, we decided to check out Taps for lunch to get off the GWL campus. Location is extremely close to the hotel/waterpark…only a 2 min. drive away or even walking distance if anyone wanted to visit, say once the kids are in bed! We arrived around 12:30pm on a Friday afternoon and basically had the place to ourselves. We were a large group(4 families with kids in tow). Our waitress was extremely patient and gracious while dealing with us, which was amazing! Our family ordered the fish and chips($ 12), the beer/nacho special(big heaping plate of nachos with a pitcher of beer of our choice — we went with the Sinister Sam) for $ 15 and a kid’s chicken finger meal($ 6). Standard pub food with a fabulous selection of local brews! I’d gladly come back if we’re in the area and would highly recommend for any GWL guests if they want a change from the resort food.

Such a fan of this place! My boyfriend and i came up to Canada for a birthday at the great wolf lodge. At around 10 o’clock on Saturday we had about a group of 10 walk in to eat dinner, the place was just far too loud for us to enjoy our meals. So we went elsewhere and i was a bit disappointed i must say. However, on Sunday afternoon once we were done with the water park my boyfriend wanted to go somewhere local for lunch before going home and I instantly remembered this place from the nigh before. I found it on Unilocal, and others had given such good reviews we just HAD to give it a shot and man am I glad we did! We started with a couple house brewed beers, I got the Blonde Ale and my boyfriend got the IPA. Both were good, but we liked the Blonde Ale the best. I started with an order of the Piggy Poutine because when you’re in Canada you can’t go wrong with poutine! It had BBQ pulled pork, bacon, gravy and cheese curds. This plate came out and sat in front of us like a large pile of goodness, steaming so hot it looked like a volcano! The first bite was just heavenly, I was able to get all of the ingredients in one bite, all of the toppings were evenly distributed within the dish(something i think in buffalo poutine people fail to do) but anyways, get it, you will love all of it’s sweet juicy, delicious goodness. For our meals i ordered the burger with mushrooms and my boyfriend got the spicy ribs. The ribs were excellent, fall off the bone and had a perfect kick to them. My burger was great but the meat tasted so odd to me, not in a bad way but it was certainly different. I’m not sure if they put something extra in it or not but it was an acquired taste in my opinion. I was very pleased with the amount of food each dish offered. If we are ever in the area again we will certainly come back and try some other things, or at least get the poutine!

This place is away from the touristy area of Niagara Falls, which was much appreciated although we had to get a taxi from our hotel to reach this place. The bar is almost too spacious for what they got going on. The beers we tried were generally pretty awful, yet cheap. The live music that night was brutally loud and screechy… although I give the guy props for going up in front of about 6 people and trying his heart out. At one point I was the only one who clapped for him… just sitting there eating my delicious curry poutine and clapping for this guy. It was awkward to say the least. This place is weird, but cool, and the poutine makes up for any awkwardness!

Small but nice brew house with a solid selection of in-house beers. Highly recommended for lunch if you find yourself exploring downtown Queen Street and in need of a local beer. While there, we opted for the awesome Nachos and a Pitcher of Draft Beer Deal for $ 15. Taps also makes a good poutine. All around yummy lunch with reasonable prices and a really sweet, accommodating staff.

After a long day walking around Niagara Falls, we were hungry but wanted to stay far away from the touristy section. Taps was located near the hotel we were staying, and since all of us enjoy craft beers, we decided to check it out. The beer is delicious, and not too heavy. Plus their prices are very reasonable, and they also have a lot of great special. For instance, if you go on a Friday night, they have a special of a pitcher of beer and plate of nachos for 15 $. Considering that a pitcher would normally cost you that much, I thought it was a really good deal. They also have live music on Fridays. Great if your looking for some good quality local craft beers away from the pricy tourist section.

Stayed at a local B&B and the host recommended this place. I was worried it was going to be basic«pub» food, but I was wrong. The food was excellent. The«poutine» was the best I had while in Canada and I loved their red cream ale. Another nice surprise was the live music that night, the group was excellent. It was a great way to spend our first night in Canada. My favorite part was that it wasn’t full of tourists, more of a locals place which I definitely enjoy!

Great food. Great beer. Went here on vacation and wanted pub grub. This is the good stuff. My daughter loves fish and chips this place delivered. I wanted meat and this place delivered. My wife is a lactose intolerant pesco ovo vegetarian. This place had some asian style dish which delivered. It was a pleasant meal and I love breweries.

I was in the area on vacation and it was a Sunday. Taps was the only place close to the bed and breakfasts that was still open past 8pm. It was a short walk and upon arriving I heard acoustic live music in the al-fresco dining area. The whole place looked like a funky conversion of a mechanic’s garage into a brewery-restaurant. Three garage doors open up to allow fresh air into most of the indoor seating. The bar flanks the doors and behind it are the many giant shiny brew tanks holding craft beers. Our bartenders/servers for the night were Taylor and Rafeeq. Great people. You can tell the locals know the place and staff well as there would be people periodically walking in to get their growlers filled. My husband had the red cream ale(craft beers) and we both had the Sunday special; bottomless ribs. They were juicy and quite good and came with fries and coleslaw. You can opt to swap out the fries for a nice house salad. All in all we made memories with the staff and enjoyed the ambience!

I usually take my family to a brewery when we are on a trip as I find breweries usually have a decent menu and are mostly kid friendly. Plus I love beer and want the fresh local stuff. Taps came through in all ways. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge which is less than a 5 minute drive from this place. We came in on a Thursday just before 6pm and lucky for us it was a bit slow, so we got seated right away. My kids were already a bit cranky as they wanted to stay at the lodge to eat, but our server seemed to sense that and started moving us along pretty quickly. For food I got the kids a burger and fingers from the kids menu. They have daily specials which offer a pint and a dinner item together. Today’s was $ 10 for the pulled pork sandwich and a pint. For an extra $ 1.50 I got a soup with it too. My wife orderd the Porter braised beef ribs and then we got a classic poutine for the table, because when in rome. My pulled pork was probably the least impressive mostly only because it was a sweet barbecue sauce. Everything else was amazing though, kids burger and fingers are homemade style. A hand pressed patty for the burger and more of a southern fried chicken style to the fingers. Then the beef ribs, oh man these were impressive. A nice char crust on outside, but just falling off the bone otherwise. Very tender and juicy, you practically didn’t even need to chew them. The poutine was delicious as well and I can see why this is a Canadian staple. For beers we had the Belgian Wit, Blonde, and the IPA. As a homebrewer I wasn’t blown away or anything, but they were all good drinkable beers. The atmosphere is more of a bar than a restaurant with a nice patio and open bay doors. Seems they have a stage inside and outside for live music as well. The eating area in the back was fine for my fams though. And prices were relatively cheap. When I find myself in the falls, I’ll be back at Taps for sure.

We wanted to have dinner in Canada for the novelty of being in Canada. After reading reviews here on Unilocal we decided Taps was the place to try. We went on July 2nd and it wasn’t crowded at all. We sat out on the patio because it was such a beautiful night out. The patio was a bit busy, and because it is serviced by the bartenders, service was a bit slow, but we were in no hurry. My wife had the beer flight with 4 of their in house brews and I had their Belgian Wit beer which was really good. Our girls ordered the burger, which was a little overcooked for my taste, but was still good. My wife had the Sirloin Steak sandwich with soup, and I had the Pulled Pork sandwich with Caesar Salad. We also ordered a basket of french fries for the table with their beer mayo. While the burgers were a little over cooked, the Sirloin Steak Sandwich and the Pulled Pork sandwich were excellent. They were both served with cole slaw that was fresh and tasty. And the french fries were awesome as was the beer mayo to dip them in. Scrum shish! If we make it back up here, we will definitely try to make it back here again.

This was the best meal we had today. We are in visiting from the states and went on a recommendation from Unilocal on affordable food. The microbrews were awesome, I had a sampler and I actually loved them all. We took our kids and it was fine atmosphere them(I was worried it would be a drinking place not a restaurant). Service was great, food was great and prices can’t be beat. Loved it! Please note I give this a 5 star rating for the type of place it is. Don’t expect fine dining but this is a great place to go and grab a decent dinner and a beer at a good price.
