I know everyone raves but I just found their fries to be OK. There was a funny taste, like the oil needed to changed or something. The poutine gravy was fine though and the cheese curds were good. Overall it was fine but I probably wouldn’t go back.

I was introduced to Michelle’s by a coworker years ago who claimed that you haven’t had good fries until you’ve eaten theirs. Needless to say, I’ve never stopped going since that time about 5 years ago. The staff is extremely friendly and after a couple visits they will remember you forever. The food is well worth the cost and everything on the menu is worth getting. You’ll never be disappointed with whatever you choose to try, but familiarize yourself with their fries first — they are the best.

I am SHOCKED this place didn’t already have a Unilocal home with a million positive reviews! Michelle’s Fries have won«best fries» in Niagara for the past couple of years and if you see the photo I posted you can see why. He imports the gravy and squeaky cheese from Montréal and makes the fries himself fresh for each order. It was the best thing me and my husband had the weekend we spent in Niagara Falls. We had some wak Poutine from the Flying Saucer the night before. No competition. We also had the pulled pork sandwich– which was tasty and one of the patrons recommended the fish sandwich. Everything was reasonably priced –the bill for the poutine(large), pulled pork sandwich, and a soda came to $ 12. Other things to note is the tented seating space next to the trailer for inclement weather and how incredibly wonderful and kind John(the owner) and Jackie(who has worked there 10 of the 25 years they have been open) are. They even gave us a tour of the inside of their truck where the magic happens. All their patrons feel the same way I feel it seems — as they lined up outside the truck Tuesday afternoon. One gentleman said«I come religiously, it’s either church or Michelle’s, so ofcourse I am going to Michelle’s” — to which the lady behind him replied«I go to both!» :) The food stand is a 10 minute drive from the hotels/Niagara Falls viewing area on the Canada side. The trip is definitely worth it for authentic food, best poutine outside of Montréal, playful nature of John, Jackie, and their patrons, and for more«eh?“s than you could ask for!
