Hooligan’s Sports Bar

Food is great, lots of choices of beer, red wine is good. Bathrooms are definitely outdated and should be cleaned more often but the food makes up for it. Slower on average service but they’re very helpful, it’s more like they’re short staffed.

Visiting Niagara from Chicago and we were desperate to watch a soccer game at 11am. Maraid was awesome and let us turn on the sound in the bar even though the Bills were playing. Really inexpensive food for the amount that you get.

Drinks are priced well.
I enjoyed the nachos. They have different cheeses than I expected its melted cheese not the yellow glob of cheese the states uses. The toppings we go were chicken, onion and tomatoes. I enjoyed having the chicken and tomatoes. But I’m not an onion fan so I picked them off. The regular serving is quite large and could feed 2 easily. We had 4 people picking at them.

So we walked in, were seen by the waitress, but not greeted. We sat down, and waited at least 15 minutes before going to the bar to ask if anyone would come over with menus and to take drink orders. He said there were only two waitresses so they were behind, but that they would be over. 10 minutes later I think he realised nobody was coming and so came over himself to take our orders. We got burgers, fries, and $ 5 double shot mix drinks. They were all cheap, and delicious, and came out pretty quickly. However, in the two hours that we were there, nobody came to our table ever again. Not to clear dishes, or ask how the food was, or to get us more drinks, which we would have loved. At first we chalked it up to their being understaffed, but the longer we were there the fewer tables there were… and the more often we saw them visiting one table with a man who was very obviously drunk already when we had first arrived. So rather than offering us more drinks, they spent their night bringing the already obnoxiously drunk guy more shots. We probably could have walked out without paying and nobody would have noticed. Needless to say, we went home and made our ow drinks, and likely won’t be back due to the terrible service.
