The menu was very limited but for the price, it was pretty good. $ 5.50 for a hearty enough breakfast, $ 2 or so for coffee. The diner was really small in comparison to the buffets beside it but I was satisfied. Crispy bacon, though the potato hash wasn’t fantastic. It’s still pretty impressive though — the massive collection of pictures and newspaper clippings on the wall. If you want an eat-at-hime kinda feel, go here. Also comes with a ton of buttered toast.

This place is exactly why you should never judge a book by its cover. We took a cab here from the Radisson hotel. We passed about 6 breakfast buffet spots on the way, we maintained our focus on Cippy’s as it received great Unilocal reviews. We walked in on a Friday morning, old and dingy are so much of an understatement that I can’t stress it further. No smell of bacon or sound of eggs frying @ 9am did not seem to fit. 3 older gentlemen were sitting at a table and all went silent as the 4 of us entered. We sat, one of the older gentlemen sitting, stood up and said, «coffee?», I said«2 w/cream and 1 decaf!», he replied«we don’t have decaf, coffee or tea only!», we opted for 2 coffees, 1 tea and an OJ for my daughter. We looked at the«menu», eggs with bacon, ham or sausage with or without home fries served w Italian toast were the choices. ****i will finish the review shortly**** For now, CIPPY’s is the BOMB

What a find! This rustic, quant restaurant is such a gem! Food is top notch… Feels like having breakfast in a family kitchen. Paul, the owner, is incredibly friendly and gracious. Menu is basic(5 options), but solid food for an excellent price! We can believe people line up for big chain/buffet style options, when Cippy’s offers better quality food, with a nostalgic, warm atmosphere. Enjoy!

Oh my where do I begin with this place. First it is a small, run down place from 50 yrs ago in a very old part of town. No parking lot, you park on some gravel and grass. We walked in and were greeted very coldly. Directed us to the«only» table for four available in the joint, mind you there were just some old timers sitting there who I assume are locals and frequent the place. The owner, who is the guy is some prior reviews pics, was running around overwhelmed and complaining that he was busy LOL. There was a woman working there but she never came over to serve us coffee or give us the crappy little menu which was missing on our table. We must’ve sat there for a good 15 or 20 min and no one came to take our order. All of a sudden the woman left for the day and the owner comes over pretending to not know we didn’t even have some coffee. All the time huffing and puffing that he was busy, again there were just a few old timers there. Gets our order and proceeds to make it himself. My scrambled eggs were the whitest eggs I’ve ever seen and he never added cheese like I requested. My mom had the french toast which was bland and had a huge piece of cooked egg attached to one end! Coffee was terrible and my kids cheap orange juice in a plastic bottle was awful. 3 orders of french(awful) toast and my eggs/ham/toast came out to $ 26. The guy shortchanged my mother $ 15!!! Needless to say she didn’t realize it till we had left but I took her right back to correct the«error» Owner played dumb and tried to swindle us as tourists. What a creep!!! it was a very bizarre and unpleasant experience to say the least. You are better off going to an IHOP than this crap place. This guy can’t cook to save his life and worst tried to take advantage of a senior tourist!!!

6÷28÷15: Eating here is like eating at your family’s breakfast table. Food is almost free, the owners talk to you like neighbors, and well, the food tastes like your family’s breakfast table for better or worse too… 1. #22 Eggs, Sausage, With Italian Toast C$ 4.50: Pretty much exactly as it says and absolutely nothing more. What they call«Italian toast» is semi-rustic white sliced bread heavily buttered and toasted. Eggs were cooked correctly. You get 3 sausages – they’re of the white, very fatty consistency(different than typical American breakfast sausage) which I do like personally. Well, nothing amazing, but definitely far better than cardboard crap you get at Tim Horton’s, and given the near-free cost, 5.5÷10. 2. Pancakes with Maple Syrup C$ 4.95: Pretty standard pancakes. Tastes home-like and good. Comes heavily buttered, which I like. Unfortunately, unlike what the title says, they don’t give you«maple syrup” – I forgot what it said exactly on the sealed single-serve container, but something to the effect of «breakfast pancake sauce.» Anyway, again, nearly free… 5.5÷10. So, please don’t go to Tim Horton’s unless you are into living a grey cardboard life. Come here for nearly the same price and you get to eat like a human. 3⁄5 #canada #canadian #breakfast

Came in here on a Sunday morning, and glad we did! Walked past the ‘all you can eat’ places to get a delicious, fresh made morning meal. Eggs, bacon and toast were all cooked great with a friendly atmosphere to top it off! Also, great prices that can’t be beat.

Simple place and simple breakfast menu. Nothing fancy here, I feel like I was eating at somebody house not at the diner. Cippy the owner and also the cook. Doing this for more than 40 years. Eat breakfast here if you get tired of those buffet breakfasts at the hotels and want to experience mom and pop diner that Mr. Frank Sinatra been to. .

Great little diner that has been open for almost 50 years. This place is like walking to a portal that sends you back in time. Great service, great food, great prices. Run by Cippy! He has a wall of fame, which includes a autograph photo of Frank Sinatra, who ate there.
