I just moved to N.F. and I was looking for a hole in the wall type of bar. Chip’n Charlie’s is the perfect place for me. I tried their fish & chips it was great! Tuna is always friendly and remembers my drink, even before I sit down. I will keep coming here every chance I get.

More bar than pub. Great fish and chips, but only one waitress. Too slow. Overcooked wings and frozen pizza were also subpar. Cold beer and local flavor, though.

I’m never going to Chip N Charlie for the food. If I do eat it’s by convenience. The food is decent and I do enjoy it when I do eat, simply not why I go there.
Chip’s is a great place to have drinks and tell stories. (Or hear stories if Freddie is behind the bar.)
The place is loud and can be downright tight when full but that’s why this place is fun to visit.
I avoid band nights as the place is too small for crowds and music. (For me anyway) More of a young people thing.
You’ll always find happy people at Chips, sitting at or behind the bar.

On a slow night you can expect good service and decent food at a fair price.
If theres a band and its busy it could take a while to get drinks, but I suppose thats to be expected.
