Pep’s new location. West on 5th off 12th. 5th turns into Sharpe St. The gym is under a huge Plumbing business sign on the west side of the street. Landmark is 6th and 12th — The Thirsty Duck Pub. That area. Pep was a world class fighter and he is a outstanding trainer and I saw them all in the nine years I lived in Vegas. Open five nights a week and Saturday afternoons. Pep has relentless energy. Everyone gets individual attention. Recreational and competitor alike. Pep had 56 pro fights. He won a 6 rounder in Edmonton less than a year ago at the age of 45. Here is a trainer that engages in open sparring with his charges. Notable fights: Mayweather, Hatton, Lopez. He was Canadian champ at 126, 130. Commonwealth champ and he had the WBO world title. He’s got more moves than a snake. And he can show you, not just tell you. Check his fights on youtube. This guy lives and breathes boxing. Brand new professional ring just purchased and set up. Lot of bags. Plenty of parking; this gym is nicer than the old one. Prices? I’m not sure. Sixty bucks a month for registered, active competitors. I don’t know for drop-in and rec, but well worth the price. Plus you can say you train with Pep! Finally Pep’s a really genuine type of guy. Good atmosphere in this gym. 5pm — 9pm weeknights. All ages and women are welcome.
