The worst service i’ve ever experienced in my life!
My printer at home wasn’t working, but I needed to print out my references for a job interview. I saw that this place was close to the interview place and that they opened at 8:30, so the night before I sent them my documents using the «send a file» tab on their website. There is not much info on the website about how this function works, nor the time line of when the prints would be done. BUT, according to their store name… one might be inclined to think that it could be done fast enough.
I called at 8:30 the next morning asking if they had received my documents. Ken wasn’t very friendly and sounded really annoyed that I didn’t automatically give him the proper information he needed to know what I was talking about. Well sorry if I don’t know how your system works. Anyway, he said he didn’t receive anything and told me to send it to the store’s email instead. Once I arrived to the place he told me that the printer wasn’t working and that it was printing out in grey print. He also felt the need to mention that they don’t do things instantly like I was expecting. Well I wish it would have stated this online or told me over the phone so I could have found a different self-​serve place or just somewhere else in general. Nevertheless, I told him grey print was fine, because by this point I was really desperate.
It doesn’t take a genius to know that someone is likely in a rush when they are dressed in interview attire, calling you as soon as you open, and printing resumes, cover letters, and references. Nevertheless, he proceeded to take a phone call and chat with them for over 5 minutes. Once he got off I asked him how long it would take, and he told me another 5 minutes… Holy moly, maybe it was the stress of the interview, but to me this was bad customer service.
I know most of his customers won’t be in the same boat as I was, but I hope that this speaks to his character and the lack of consideration he has for others. If it were me, I wouldn’t want to support someone like this.

Great professional shop. I’ve done most of my business’ printed material with them. Their attention to detail its outstanding, I had to print a catalog and they managed to align all the borders and folds perfectly, and they helped me designing it too. Also it’s good that they do a variety of jobs, I’ve done my business cards, catalogs, stickers and oversize banners. I have nothing but good experiences with them :)

To share or not to share, that’s the question…
I’ve a dilemma: should I share with Unilocal about MMPress in New West or should I not? Ah, heck! Things are better shared. :-)
For I’m a student, many times I’ve to print small quantity (digital) prints in color. After calling a few print shops in New West, I stumbled upon MinuteMan Press and found them offering the lowest price. I’ve been going there ever since. The shop is run by a guy called Ken. He gives me the impression that he’s very knowledgeable. I find that he can seem cold sometimes but he knows what he’s talking about. One time they’ve issues with their printer that the proof didn’t come out right. As a result, Ken didn’t charge me anything. I think that’s very nice of him.
Since I’m new to printing, there’re many things I don’t know. The folks at Minuteman Press are always patient with my many questions.
I always feel bad printing just small quantities while most of their clients must be printing much more. Nevertheless, Ken and his colleagues always ensure I get the prints in time. Sometimes I’ve to be flexible to work with their schedules (e.g. when the printer is running some bigger jobs) but a little compromise should yield better relationships, even with your print shop.
Lastly, I’ve to mention that MMP offers the lowest price. My last print job is a double-​sided color print on 12×18″ card stock. That costs me $ 2. Another place in New West (just up the street) quotes $ 15!
