HORRIBLESERVICE! My first Unilocal review goes to the rude staffs in A&W, they just dont know how to be nice to their customers. I walked down to A&W this morning, told the Asian old lady with a pair of glasses that I want the Double Buddy Cheese Burger. She placed the order and the other Asian lady gave me the Double Buddy Chicken Burger. I told them I ordered the beef one, and both of them looked at me like it was my fault that they got the wrong order. Why is it my fault when you made a mistake on the order? That is just very rude to the costumer, I feel so disappointed. Horrible staffs, horrible attitude.

A&W is expensive. It boasts of using meat(beef) that have not been fed with chemically mixed food. Burgers are expensive. The price of gluten-free beef organic patty from Safeway is less when you buy a box of six patties than when you buy one sandwich burger from A&W. Fries are equally expensive and there’s no sizes. just one size for about $ 2.78 A&W has no combo. You buy items separately to make a «combo». Total to $ 9.50/ order and you still have to wait awhile for your greasy orders. The A&W by New West station emits greasy smell that permeates the bus stop and the surrounding area. The smell is so bad, you’re actually smelling oil repeatedly used to deep fry different food(chicken, onion rings, frieda, yam). The result of the smell’s really bad. It makes you want to throw up. Overall, I won’t recommend buying food at A&W because of the price. It sells the same thing as McDonald’s and Burger King. The only difference is it claims their beef came from«organic» cows. But there’s no proof to that. That’s only what they say. Then you have the rest of the over priced food items. Fries came from potatoes. Yams from yams, onions from onions made covered with flour. Same thing everywhere. The New West station is dirty. Its tables are not sanitized. The trays and the tables and counters were always wiped with the same rug. And who know what else those rugs wiped? So that’s it for me. No A& W.

So I just really needed a napkin and happen to be near A&W and I just walked out of Tim Horton’s. Common sense depicts you go in A&W and grab a napkin then continue waiting in line for the 106 bus. I do so and while grabbing some napkins and ohh, one thinga-ling of ketchup I can here the cashier holler«helloo» but you know I’m just doing my thing, minding my own business getting what I need and she continues hollering and in hopes of ignoring her she could at least take a hint that I’m clearly not going to order something lol but damn… once I made eye contact with her she is all heated saying«WALKBACKTOTIMHORTONSANDGETWHATYOUNEED, THISISNOT A FREEPLACE!!!» I just smirked and left. Now back to my thoughts… First, you have costumer’s and don’t holler your lungs out. Second, learn how to treat anyone with decency… Makes you guys look bad. And third… Lol A&W isn’t your life… I’m just a 16 year old heading to school just wanting some ketchup and 2 napkins :’(. acting like your job is your career. Yesh.

The sweet potato fries is so good but so overpriced, i expect a bigger serving for 4 $. Staff is super nice and friendly, which to be honest i didn’t expect at all coming to a fast food restaurant. They’ve been giving out lots of coupons. The Self-serve system is a big plus.

48⁄100 needed something and I needed it quick. I wanted hot, fast and fresh. I stumbled on the A&W here while I was waiting for the train. The new Buddy burger with cheese and sauteed onions hits the spot with me. And I like A&W cause they are not shy with the mustard. But the best part was the self scan, because lets face it. A lot of us had our first jobs working in Fast food places, so we know how to work those registers.

I eat here all the time and it’s always good. They always have those coupons too so there’s almost always a discount at any given time. I like that I can have a full bacon and eggs breakfast there and it’ll be ready in 5 minutes. A much better breakfast than any McDonalds can offer. I only have 1 complaint — that they don’t have chubby chicken! What the heck?! That’s something that A&W is known for. It’s like a Burger King that doesn’t sell whoppers or a movie theatre that doesn’t sell popcorn. Oh well. Still an awesome establishment and the manager Chris is cool.
